Kaunas Sports Hall
Kaunas Sports Hall (Lithuanian: Kauno sporto halė), also known as the S. Darius and S. Girėnas Hall is the second largest arena of Kaunas, Lithuania. It is the first arena built in the residential Žaliakalnis neighbourhood of Kaunas specially for basketball in Europe and is referred to as a "Mecca of the Lithuanian basketball". The arena's seating capacity is 5,000. Initial seating capacity was 3,500 and the other spectators (up to 11,000) used to have standing room.
Darius and Girėnas Stadium
S. Darius and S. Girėnas Stadium is a multi-use stadium in the Ąžuolynas park in Žaliakalnis district of Kaunas, Lithuania. The all-seater stadium holds 8,248. In 1998 the stadium was renovated according to UEFA regulations, and in 2005 it was modernised with the installation of the biggest stadium television screen in the Baltic states. The first stadium in this place was established by Steponas Darius in 1923, and completed in 1925.
Dainava (Kaunas)
Dainava is a fairly new neighbourhood (built in 1963, initially as a microdistrict) located in the north of center of Kaunas, the second largest city of Lithuania. It has an elderate status. In the elderate there is an old Jewish cemetery, Lithuanian Zoo, many faculties of Kaunas University of Technology, Friendship Park started in 1973. The neighbourhood was built in a typical soviet fashion.
Lithuanian Zoo
Lithuanian Zoo previously known as Kaunas' Zoo is the only Zoo in Lithuania. It is located in an Ąžuolynas oak grove park in the south-western Žaliakalnis elderate of Kaunas. The territory of the zoo is 15.9 hectares . The zoo was initiated in 1935 by Lithuanian zoologist Tadas Ivanauskas and opened on July 1, 1938 with 40 animals. As of 2009, it held over 2,800 insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. It experienced funding difficulties during the 2000s.
Vydūnas alley
Vydūnas alley is a street in Kaunas Žaliakalnis neighbourhood, bordering Ąžuolynas park in the north. It was built by a special plan as a residential area of Temporary capital of Lithuania. The alley was built according to writings of Lithuanian philosopher Vydūnas and was intersected with two radial streets - Minties ratas (Ring of Thought) and Gėlių ratas (Ring of Flowers).

Panemunė, Kaunas
Panemunė is an elderate in the Lithuanian city of Kaunas, that was formally incorporated into Kaunas in 1931. It is located on the left bank of the Nemunas River. It occupies 24.78 hectares, with 22,140 inhabitants. The elderate encompasses the neighbourhoods of Vaišvydava, Vičiūnai, Panemunė and Rokai. A vast pine wood occupies a significant area in this neighbourhood. Neorenaissance style Holy Virgin Mary church built in the middle of the 19th century is located in Panemunė elderate.
Šančiai
Šančiai is an elderate in the Lithuanian city of Kaunas. It is located on the right bank of the Nemunas River, and is divided into Higher and Lower Šančiai. Its 2007 population was 23,237. Remains of transatlantic pilots of Lituanica Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas were reburied in cemetery of Šančiai, after Kaunas Old Cemetery (also known as Kaunas Carmelite Cemetery) was liquidated by soviet authorities.
Ąžuolynas
Ąžuolynas (literally, "Oak Grove") is a public park in Lithuania's second largest city, Kaunas, in the Žaliakalnis neighbourhood. The park covers about 63 hectares and is the largest urban stand of mature oaks in Europe. Vydūnas Alley serves as the park's northern border. It is a popular recreational destination for the inhabitants of Kaunas. Most of its trees are oaks ranging in age from 100 to 320 years old, but it also holds linden, birch, and maple trees.
M. K. Čiurlionis Bridge
M. K. Čiurlionis Bridge is a bridge in Kaunas, Lithuania. It crosses the Nemunas River to connect Freda and Kaunas City center. The bridge is 475 meters in length and 29.4 meters in width. It carries six lanes of automobile traffic, with three lanes in each direction. The bridge, completed in 2002, is named after a prominent Lithuanian painter Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis.
Railway Bridge, Kaunas
Railway Bridge in Kaunas crosses Nemunas river to connect Central Kaunas and lower Freda of Aleksotas district. Because of its green paint, it is often called Green. Construction of the bridge started in 1859 and ended in 1862. The exploitation of the bridge started on the 4 February 1862. Together with central Kaunas Railway Station and Kaunas Railway Tunnel, it forms an important Kaunas railway hub in Lithuania.

AB Stumbras is the oldest and largest producer of strong alcoholic drinks in Kaunas, Lithuania. Company began its operations in 1906. "Stumbras" is also the largest exporter of strong alcoholic beverages and one of the biggest taxpayers in Lithuania. Company's most famous brands include "Lithuanian vodka", "999", "Gloria", "Stumbro Starka" (bitter), "Krupnikas", "Poema" (liqueur) and others. The company name translates as Wisent.
Lithuanian Sports University
The Lithuanian Sports University (Lithuanian: Lietuvos sporto universitetas, LSU), formerly Lithuanian Academy of Physical Education, is the only state-supported institution of tertiary physical education in Kaunas, Lithuania. It has the university status. Since its establishment, the academy is headquartered in Žaliakalnis neighbourhood of Kaunas, in close proximity to the Kaunas Sports Hall and the S. Darius and S. Girėnas Stadium, adjacent to the Ąžuolynas Park.

KTU radio Gaudeamus
KTU radio Gaudeamus is one the first university radio stations in Lithuania. It was founded at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) in 2005. Radio station is available via analogue 93,6 MHz FM frequency in Kaunas city and on the internet. "Gaudeamus" has one main radio station based in the center of Kaunas in the Faculty of Humanities of KTU.
Kaunas Hydroelectric Power Plant
The Kaunas Hydroelectric Power Plant, located on the Nemunas River about 7.4 kilometres southeast of central Kaunas, Lithuania, was completed in 1960. Its dam created the Kaunas Reservoir. Owned by Lietuvos Energija, it operates in conjunction with the Kruonis Pumped Storage Plant. The plant, which has a capacity of 100.8 megawatts, generated 316 gigawatt-hours of electricity in 2002. It supplies about 3% of the electrical demand in Lithuania.
Kaunas Museum for the Blind
The Kaunas Museum for the Blind in Kaunas, Lithuania opened in 2005. It was the first museum for the blind in the Baltic States and one of the first in Eastern Europe. The museum, located in the catacombs underneath St. Michael the Archangel Church, was created during the course of an international exchange project, "Catacombs of the 21st Century", organized by students at the Kaunas University of Technology, under the supervision of the sculptor Robertas Antinis.
Kaunas University of Technology Gymnasium
The Gymnasium of Kaunas University of Technology, formerly Kaunas Polytechnical Institute Experimental Secondary School, is Lithuania's first university-supported secondary school for gifted pupils. The gymnasium was established by Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) in 1989 and adopted its current name in 1990. It serves students from across Lithuania, and its first graduating class left in 1991. The school has two first-year classes and three second-, third-, and fourth-year classes.

Kaunas pantomime theatre (Lithuanian: Kauno pantomimos teatras) is pantomime theatre in Kaunas, Lithuania. Theatre was established in 1968. Founder and leader of Kaunas Pantomime theatre was artistic director Kestutis Adomaitis (1948–1996). Kaunas Municipality becomes the founder of Kaunas Pantomime Theatre in 2003. Kaunas Pantomime theatre is the only Lithuanian professional ensemble theatre with a repertoire of this genre only.

It is now one of the most modern light alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages producer in Lithuania, which produces and sells beer, kvass, cider, alcohol cocktails, and energy drinks.
Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Kaunas
The Holy Resurrection Church is an Orthodox church in Kaunas, Lithuania, built in 1862 in the area of the local Orthodox cemetery. Initially the church belonged to St. Alexander Nevsky parish, but in 1882, due to the constant growth of the number of Orthodox Russians living in the city, it was made a parish church as well. From 1884 on, the church ran a parish school. The church was closed after the Germans entered to Kaunas during World War I.
Kaunas Railway Tunnel
Kaunas railway tunnel is one of the two tunnels existing in Lithuania and the only railway tunnel operating in the Baltic states. It connects Vilnius and Kaunas. The length of the tunnel is 1,285 metres (0,803 miles), height – 6,6 metres, width – 8,8 metres. Kaunas railway tunnel was included into the Registry of Immovable Cultural Heritage Sites of the Republic of Lithuania in 1996.
Kaunas Mosque
Kaunas Mosque or Vytautas the Great Mosque (Lithuanian: Vytauto Didžiojo Mečetė) is one of four remaining mosques in Lithuania. It is located in Centras eldership, Kaunas. It is the only brick mosque in Lithuania. A wooden Kaunas Mosque was first built in 1860. It was replaced by a brick mosque in 1930 with the aid of the state of Lithuania.
Kaunas Railway Station
Kaunas Railway Station (Lithuanian: Kauno geležinkelio stotis) is a Lithuanian Railways central passenger railway station in Kaunas. It is located at the eastern edge of Central Kaunas, Lithuania. Kaunas Railway Station was included into the Registry of Immovable Cultural Heritage Sites of the Republic of Lithuania in 2003.
