Liberia
Liberia Listen/laɪˈbɪəriə/, officially the Republic of Liberia, is a country in West Africa bordered by Sierra Leone to its west, Guinea to its north and Côte d'Ivoire to its east. It covers an area of 111,369 km and is home to about 3.7 million people. English is the official language and over thirty indigenous languages are also spoken within the country.
Monrovia
Monrovia is the capital city of the West African nation of Liberia. Located on the Atlantic Coast at Cape Mesurado, it lies geographically within Montserrado County, but is administered separately. The city is governed as a metropolitan city called Greater Monrovia District, which had a population of 970,824 as of the 2008 census, containing 29% of the total population of Liberia and is the country's most populous city.

Liberia also boasts an array of indigenous folk music, Christian music and influences from its Americo-Liberian minority. Liberian National Museum
The National Museum of Liberia is a national museum in Monrovia, Liberia. Initially housed in the First Executive Mansion on Ashmond Street of the city which is now used as a library, it was established by an Act of the National Legislature in 1958 under the administration of Liberia's 18th President, Dr William V.S. Tubman.
Gabriel Tucker Bridge
The Gabriel Tucker Bridge formerly the People’s Bridge, is a bridge over the Mesurado River in Monrovia, Liberia. It was built between 1972 and 1976. The construction caused some minor disruption to local settlements and the Liberian National Museum had to be relocated in the mid 1970s to facilitate the structure. It was designed by Gabriel Johnson Tucker, who Liberian President William R. Tolbert had named in his honor.

Mesurado River is a river of Liberia. It flows through the capital of Monrovia and is crossed by the People’s Bridge, built in the 1970s.
Bushrod Island
Bushrod Island is an island near Monrovia, Liberia surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the Saint Paul River and the Mesurado River. It contains the Freeport of Monrovia, the major national port of Liberia and a variety of businesses. It also contains numerous residential areas and government buildings. Its proximity to the capital and industrial base make it an important commercial area for the country. End Point is a geographical feature on north end of Bushrod Island.
Freeport of Monrovia
The Freeport of Monrovia is the main commercial port facility in the West African nation of Liberia. The port was artificially created on Bushrod Island near Monrovia in 1948. The port facility contains four piers and one main wharf with four berths. The port also has tanker facilities and a fishery pier. The National Port Authority operates the port.
West Point, Monrovia
West Point is a township (the administrative equivalent of a city ward) of the Liberian capital city of Monrovia, located on a peninsula which juts out into the Atlantic Ocean between the Mesurado and Saint Paul rivers. Home to approximately 75,000 people, it is one of Monrovia's most dangerous slums, and environmental degradation has gradually caused part of the peninsula to erode into the ocean. Endemic problems include overpopulation and diseases such as tuberculosis.
Ducor Hotel
The Ducor Palace Hotel is a building in Monrovia, the capital city of the African nation of Liberia. The building overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the Saint Paul River and Monrovia's West Point district. It is located on Ducor Hill, at the end of Broad Street across from United Nations Boulevard in Monrovia's main business district. Once a luxury hotel, the building has fallen into extensive disrepair.
