Beirut
Beirut is the capital and largest city of Lebanon. As there has been no recent population census, the exact population is unknown; estimates in 2007 ranged from slightly more than 1 million to slightly less than 2 million. 1973 Israeli raid on Lebanon
The 1973 Israeli raid on Lebanon (known as Operation Spring of Youth, part of Operation Wrath of God) took place on the night of April 9 and early morning of April 10, 1973 when Israel Defense Forces special forces units attacked several Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) targets in Beirut and Sidon, Lebanon. The operation is generally considered to be part of the retaliation for the Munich massacre at the Summer Olympics in 1972.
Port of Beirut
The Port of Beirut is the main port in Lebanon located on the eastern part of the Saint George Bay on Beirut's northern Mediterranean coast, west of the Beirut River. It is one of the largest and busiest ports on the Eastern Mediterranean. The Port of Beirut and Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport are the main ports of entry into the country. Baabda Palace is the official residence of the President of Lebanon. Built during the 1960s it is situated on a hill in the mountain town of Baabda overlooking Beirut and the first president to reside here was H.E. President Charles Helou.

The suburb is heavily populated by Armenians as it is where most survivors of the Armenian Genocide settled. Haret Hreik is a mixed Shia and Maronite Christian town, in the Dahieh suburbs, south of Beirut, Lebanon. Once an agricultural village, Haret Hreik lost its rural identity due to the wave of refugees from Southern Lebanon who settled in the town and made it another urban neighborhood of Dahieh. Haret Hreik is located northeast of the Rafik Hariri International Airport and north of the towns of Laylake and Bourj Al Brajneh, west of Hadath and south of Chiah.
Chyah
Chiyah (in Arabic الشياح pronounced Ach-Chayyah Syriac: ܫܝܚܐ) is situated in the west region of the Lebanese capital of Beirut. The meaning of its name is vague and many suppositions were found: one saying that it has a Syriac origin (Chyaha) meaning the budding, another one saying that it means the processing of metal (Shewah) another theory is the Arabic origin of the name meaning a kind of tree that is used for silk production (a flourishing industry in this village).

Sursock Museum, which is officially known as Nicolas Sursock Museum, is a modern art museum Beirut, Lebanon that was directed by an collector named Ibrahim M. Beyhum . It is located in the historic street known as Rue Sursock in the Achrafieh district of Beirut. The street is home to other mansions that were built in the 18th century by Beirut's most prominent families such as the Sursocks and the Bustroses. The museum was ranked #7 of 112 things to do in Beirut by Lonely Planet travelers.
Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque
The Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque is a sunni mosque located in Martyrs' Square in downtown Beirut, Lebanon. It was built between 2002 and 2007 by the former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, who was buried beside it. It was inaugurated by his son Saad Hariri on October 17, 2008. According to the architect, Azmi Fakhuri, the blue-domed mosque has an Ottoman inspiration, copying the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul.
Saifi Village
Saifi Village is a residential upscale neighbourhood in Beirut, Lebanon. Saifi Village is located at the southeastern periphery of Centre Ville. The village is bordered by Rue Charles Debbas to the south, Rue George Haddad to the east, Rue Gouraud to the north, and Rue Ariss & Kanaani to the west. Its location is at the beginning of the former Green Line, the main frontline in Beirut during the Lebanese Civil War. The neighborhood was completely destroyed during the war in Lebanon.
