Geography of Lebanon
Lebanon is part of Southwestern Asia, and it is located at about approximately 35˚N, 35˚W, stretching along the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea, its length almost three times its width. As it stretches from north to south, the width of its terrain becomes narrower. Lebanon's mountainous terrain, proximity to the sea, and strategic location at a crossroads of the world were decisive factors in shaping its history.

Aley is a district in Mount Lebanon, Lebanon, to the south-east of the Lebanon's capital Beirut. The capital is Aley. Aley city was previously known as the "bride of the summers" during the 1960 and 70s, when Aley and neighboring Bhamdune were attractive tourist locations for Gulf tourists and Lebanese emigres. Bsous is a village in the Aley District of Mount Lebanon with an estimated population of 6,000. It is located 200 to 730 meters above sea level and 14 kilometres from the capital, Beirut. It is both a summer resort as well as being inhabited during the winter months. This is due to its proximity to Beirut. The name "Bsous" derives from the Syriac.
Ain Dara, Lebanon
Ain Dara is a village about 30 km from Beirut, in the governorate of Mount Lebanon, in the Aley District. Ain Dara Municipality has an area of 2,586 hectares (25.86 km² - 9.98196 mi²), with a population of approximately 8000 persons (1700 emigrants). It had 3,874 registered voters in 2010. Ain Dara is located on a southward facing slope overlooking the pine forests of the safa valley at an altitude of 1,300 meters. It is close to Mount Barouk, which is famous for its cedar forest.
Aana
Aana, عانا, is a village in the Western Bekaa District of Lebanon, about 57km from Lebanon's capital, Beirut. Its name comes from the Syriac word 'ono, which means 'the flock'. The village has two churches, one dedicated to St. Elias and the other to the Virgin Mary, located in the adjacent borough of Deir Tahniche. The village is watered by a spring known as Shamsyne (Arabic, meaning 'the Two Suns'). The village produces wine and fruit.
Aammiq Wetland

Château Ksara is a wine company in Beqaa Valley Lebanon. Founded in in 1857 by Jesuit Priests, Ksara developed the first dry wine in Lebanon. Chateau Ksara wine is most popular in Lebanon, but due to a large Lebanese diaspora all over the world, it can be found and purchased in many different countries. Château Ksara produces approximately 3 million bottles annually. Wines are exported to over 40 countries.
Ballouneh
Ballouneh is a small town neighboring Ajaltoun and located in the Keserwan District of the Mount Lebanon Governorate. It has an approximate area of 3.93 km and an altitude of 650-700 m above sea level.
Qmatiye
Qmatiye is a village in Aley District in the Mount Lebanon Governorate of Lebanon. It lies right beneath the town of Souk El Gharb. It has a small population and is a good tourist attraction in the summer.
Brummana High School
Brummana High School is a secondary school in Lebanon. It is located in the village of Brummana, situated in Metn, Mount Lebanon, 10 kilometres east of the capital city Beirut. This school was established in 1873, by the Quaker Theophilus Waldmeier (a Swiss missionary). Historically Quakers were among the pioneers in developing a modern form of learner-centred education which prized the worth and development of the whole child and student.
Mudeirej Bridge
The Mudeirej Bridge or Mdairej Bridge is a bridge in Lebanon. It was partly destroyed on July 12, 2006 during the 2006 Lebanon-Israel conflict. The bridge was inaugurated in 1998 by the assassinated former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri and built at a cost of $44 million. It stood 75 meters (246 feet) high, making it the highest bridge in Lebanon and lay along a mountainous route on the Beirut-Damascus highway.
Qarnayel
Qarnayel is a town and municipality in Qadaa Baabda, Lebanon. (Baabda district) of Mount Lebanon Governorate . The village is located between 1100–1250 metres above sea level in the western steep slopes of Mount Lebanon, in the upper Matn (Al Matn al A'la) section, 36 Kilometers to the east of Beirut بيروت. The village has a population of nearly 4,500 inhabitants who are Druze and Maronites.

Jouar
Jouar El-Matn is a village in Lebanon. It is located between Chrine, Chouweir and Khenchara, on the main road to Bteghrine Baskinta, and is 27 kilometres north east of Beirut. Covering an area of about 96 square kilometres, this village is known for its traditional red-roofed brick houses. In the town is the 18th century church of Saint Nicolas, noted for its iconostasis of wood.

With a population of about 3000 people (increases to around 15,000 people during the summer due to tourism), Saoufar gains its importance from its strategic and panoramic overlooking of Caza Matn, with the LaMartine Valley separating the two.
Ain Zhalta
Ain Zhalta is a village in the Chouf District of Mount Lebanon Governorate in southwestern Lebanon. The Battle of Ain Zhalta was held here in June 1982 with Syria. Masser Al-Chouf, Barouk, and Ain Zhalta-Bmohary form a Biosphere Reserve, protected by UNESCO in June 2005.
