Achziv

Achziv is a national park on the northern coast of Israel, 15 kilometers north of Acre, within the municipal area of Nahariya. It is a former town, settled for about three millennia. It was first settled in the Middle Canaanite (Bronze) II period by the Phoenicians. In the Bible, it is described as falling within territory assigned to the tribe of Asher. An Arab village, Az-Zeeb, was established on the site during the Mamluk period. Today Achziv is a national park.

Al-Kabri incident

The al-Kabri incident refers to a military operation carried out by the Israeli army during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War in retaliation for the ambush of the Yehiam convoy. On May 20, 1948, the Israeli Carmeli Brigade captured al-Kabri, an Arab village in the northwest corner of the region of the British Mandate of Palestine that was later incorporated into the State of Israel.

Ma'alot massacre

The Ma'alot massacre was a terrorist attack in 1974 which included a two-day hostage-taking of 115 people which ended in the deaths of over 25 hostages. It began when three armed Palestinian terrorists of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine entered Israel from Lebanon. Soon afterwards they attacked a van, killing two Israeli Arab women while injuring a third and entered an apartment building in the town of Ma'alot, where they killed a couple and their four-year-old son.

Ghetto Fighters' House

The Ghetto Fighters' House, full name, Itzhak Katzenelson Holocaust and Jewish Resistance Heritage Museum, Documentation and Study Center, was founded in 1949 by members of Kibbutz Lohamei Hagetaot, a community of Holocaust survivors, among them fighters of the ghetto undergrounds and partisan units. The museum is name after Itzhak Katzenelson, a Jewish poet who died at Auschwitz. The museum is located in the Western Galilee, Israel, on the Coastal Highway between Acre (Akko) and Nahariya.

Rosh HaNikra grottoes

Rosh HaNikra is a geologic formation in Israel, located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, in the Western Galilee. It is a white chalk cliff face which opens up into spectacular grottos. The Rosh HaNikra grottos are cavernous tunnels formed by sea action on the soft chalk rock. The total length is some 200 meters. They branch off in various directions with some interconnecting segments.

Marwahin (Marwāḩīn) is a town in Lebanon, on its border with Israel. During the 2006 Lebanon War, Marwahin was the site of ground exchanges between Israel and Hezbollah. According to Human Rights Watch, the villagers of Marwahin reported having problems with Hezbollah fighters and weapons infiltrating their village almost as soon as the war started. Lebanese civilian refugees from the town were first ordered to flee the area by Israeli forces.

Montfort Castle

Montfort is a ruined crusader castle in the Upper Galilee region in northern Israel, about 22 miles (35 km) northeast of the city of Haifa and 10 miles (16 km) south of the border with Lebanon. It is named after the Tribe of Asher which had been allotted the region in antiquity according to the Book of Joshua . Ma'ale Yosef Regional Council

The Ma'ale Yosef Regional Council is a regional council in the Upper Galilee, part of the North District of Israel, situated between the towns of Ma'alot-Tarshiha and Shlomi. Its offices are located in Gornot HaGalil. The council was established in 1963, although most of its settlements were founded in the 1950s. Casal Humberti

Casal Humberti was the name of a fortress in the Achziv region of Israel named after the commander of the fort in 1104. It was later named Casal Umberti in 1197 and Casal Imbert in 1104. Tel Kabri is an archaeological site on the grounds of Kibbutz Kabri, near the city of Nahariya, Israel. Tel Kabri is notable for its Minoan-style frescoes, the only such frescoes ever discovered in Israel. The area of Kabri was first settled 16,000 years ago, during the Neolithic period. Permanent structures appeared around the year 10000 BCE. The tel contains the remains of a Canaanite city from the Middle Bronze Age (2000-1550 B.C.).

Yeshivat Hesder of Nahariya known as Yeshivat Nahar Deiah, was founded in 1995 by the Chief Rabbi of Nahariya, Rabbi Yeshayahu Meitlis with 15 students. In 2010, the Yeshiva has over 100 students. Nahal Kziv (lit. "Kziv stream") is a 20-kilometer long perennial stream in the Upper Galilee, Israel. During the winter, rainfall fills the channel, and springs along the riverbed add to the flow. 1974 Nahariya attack

The 1974 Nahariya attack was a raid by three Palestinian militants, belonging to the Fatah militant organization, which took place during the night between 24 and 25 June 1974. The Palestinian militant squad infiltrated the coastal city of Nahariya in Israel by sea from Lebanon. Three civilians and one Israeli soldier were killed during the event. The attack was the first time in which militants infiltrated into Israel from Lebanon by sea.
