Mar Elias is a Palestinian refugee camp in the southwestern part of Beirut, Lebanon. The camp was founded in 1952 by the Mar Elias Greek Orthodox convent and is composed mainly of Christian Palestinians (almost all the rest of the refugee camps contain Muslim Palestinians). Shatila refugee camp
The Shatila refugee camp (also Chatila refugee camp) is a refugee camp for Palestinian refugees, set up by UNRWA in 1949. The camp is located within the Lebanese capital Beirut. As of December 2003, it housed 12,235 registered refugees. http://www. un. org/unrwa/refugees/lebanon. html It is most widely known as the site of the Sabra and Shatila massacre in September 1982, but also played a significant role in the 1982 Lebanon war and the 1985 to 1987 war of the camps.

Maghen Abraham Synagogue
The Maghen Abraham Synagogue is one of the main synagogues in Lebanon. The oldest synagogue is the Sidon Synagogue which was built in 833 but is believed to rest on an older synagogue dating back to the destruction of the Second Temple in 66 AD. Located in the former Jewish district of Wadi Abu Jamil in Beirut, it was abandoned after Israeli shelling destroyed the synagogue during the Lebanese Civil War.

Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque
The Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque is a sunni mosque located in Martyrs' Square in downtown Beirut, Lebanon. It was built between 2002 and 2007 by the former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, who was buried beside it. It was inaugurated by his son Saad Hariri on October 17, 2008. According to the architect, Azmi Fakhuri, the blue-domed mosque has an Ottoman inspiration, copying the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul.

It is known for its upscale apartment buildings, numerous restaurants, and cliff-side cafés that line Avenue de Paris, which forms part of the Corniche Beirut. The corniche or the wide, seaside sidewalk of Avenue de Paris is popular on weekends and evenings where strollers and joggers crowd the pavements. Off the coast of Raouché, there is a natural landmark called the Pigeons' Rock (also known as the Rock of Raouché).
