Kuwait Telecommunications Tower
The Liberation Tower is the second tallest structure in Kuwait. Construction of the tower commenced before the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait on August 2, 1990. It was meant to be called The Kuwait Telecommunications Tower. When the invasion took place, construction, which was almost half-way complete, was put on hold. However, the structure received no damage, and construction resumed after Saddam Hussein's forces were expelled on February 27, 1991.

Shuwaikh Island
Shuwaikh Island, also known as Qurain Island, and Akkaz Island, is a former island of Kuwait within Kuwait Bay. As an island, it resided about 1 kilometer away from the coast and was roughly 12,000 square meters in size. Shuwaikh Island is an archeological site with pieces dating back to 2000 B.C.. The "island" is now joined to the Shuwaikh industrial area as an extension via land bridge and therefore no longer exists as an island.

Sadu House is an artistic house and museum in Kuwait City, Kuwait, located near the Kuwait National Museum. It was established in 1980 to protect the interests of the Bedouins and their ethnic handicrafts, Sadu weaving, which is an embroidery form in geometrical shapes hand woven by Bedouin people. The original house originally existed as a mud building in the early twentieth century but was destroyed during the 1936 Kuwaiti floods.

Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) was established in 1981 under the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation as a subsidiary company. It is empowered to undertake crude oil and natural gas exploration, development, and production operations outside Kuwait. Since 1984, KUFPEC acquired petroleum concessions for discovery and development in Bahrain, Tunisia, Egypt, China and Indonesia. Today KUFPEC operates in several locations of Australia, Africa, Asia, and Middle East.

Imam Baqir Mosque
Imam Baqir Mosque is a Shi'a mosque located in Surra District, Kuwait. The prayer hall for men holds 6,000 worshippers, and the women's prayer hall contains about 2,000. In 2011 the imam of the mosque was Sheikh Mustafa. Imam Baqir Mosque is one of the largest Shi'a Mosques in Kuwait. For Friday prayer, most worshippers come in the afternoon. During the Maghreb Prayer about 2,000 Worshippers attend. Construction was started in 2005, and was completed in 2007.
Al-Qabas
Al-Qabas is a daily Kuwaiti newspaper published by Dār al-Qabas lil-ṣaḥāfah wa al-ṭibāʿah wa al-nashr. The paper's editor, Mohammed Al-Sager, is a winner of the International Press Freedom Award of the Committee to Protect Journalists "for courageous reporting on political and human rights issues in the face of government threats of censorship and prosecution". The Palestinian cartoonist Naji Salim al-Ali worked for the paper in the 1980s.
Kuwait National Assembly Building
The Kuwait National Assembly Building, designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon in 1972, was completed in 1982 under the direction of his son Jan. The structural design was by Max Walt. The building was seriously damaged in February 1991 when the retreating Iraqi troops set it on fire but it has since been restored.
