The 2009 Kenya Population and Housing Census reports Kibera's population as 170,070, contrary to previous estimates of one or two million people.
Bomas of Kenya
Bomas of Kenya is a tourist village in Langata, Nairobi. Bomas (homesteads) displays traditional villages belonging to the several Kenyan tribes. It was established by the government in 1971 as a subsidiary company of Kenya Tourist Development Corporation as a tourist attraction. It also wanted to preserve, maintain and promote rich and diverse cultural values of various tribal groups of Kenya.
State House (Kenya)
State House is the official residence of the President of Kenya. It was originally known as Government House. This building was built in 1907 in Nairobi to serve as the official residence of the Governor of British East Africa when Kenya was a British Colony. The governor would conduct his official functions at the old Provincial Commissioner’s office (now a national monument) next to Nyayo House and then retire to Government House for the day.
Safari Sevens
The Safari Sevens, known as the Safaricom Sevens after main sponsors Safaricom (previously the Tusker Safari Sevens after the flagship product of the then sponsors East African Breweries Ltd) is an annual rugby sevens tournament held in Kenya. The tournament is run by the Kenya Rugby Football Union. The competition is promoted as being Africa's premier rugby sevens tournament drawing crowds of over 20,000 to the weekend event.
Strathmore School
Strathmore School is Kenya's first multi-racial school established in 1961 in the Lavington area of Nairobi district. It began as a residential Sixth Form College offering British-styled A-level courses and in 1963 switched from the Cambridge School Certificate Examination to the London GCE. In 1977 it became a full-fledged Secondary school. In 1988, the school began offering education under the KCSE - Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education - curricula which it follows to date.
Lavington, Nairobi
Lavington is a suburb of Nairobi, Kenya. It is a high income residential estate located northwest of the city centre. Lavington belongs to the Westlands administrative division of Nairobi. The bulk of the area now known as Lavington was originally the St Austins Mission established by the French Holy Ghost Fathers. The Strathmore School, Saint Mary's, Loreto Convent school, Braeburn High School, Lavington Primary School and Rusinga School are located in Lavington.
Carnivore (restaurant)
Carnivore is an open-air restaurant in the Langata suburb of Nairobi, Kenya. Carnivore's specialty is meat, and features an all-you-can-eat meat buffet. They serve a wide variety of meat and are famous for their game meat. It is a popular tourist destination. In 1999, the restaurant seated 350 people and the restaurant's 330 employees served over 1000 people per day. The game, including giraffe, wildebeest, ostrich and crocodile, is raised on Hopcraft Ranch, 25 miles outside Nairobi.

Jaffery Sports Club Ground
The Jaffery Sports Club Ground is a cricket ground situated in Nairobi, Kenya. It hosted its first ODI international during the 2007 World Cricket League in Kenya. The Ground is owned by a sect of the Muslim community in Nairobi. Hence most of the players in the Club team are Islamic. This club plays host to the matches of the Nairobi Jaffery Sports Club from the Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association.

The Nairobi Club Ground is a multi-use sports venue in Upper Hill, Nairobi, Kenya. It is the oldest cricket ground in Kenya, and was the first to get a turf wicket, which was laid by Don Pringle, who played for East Africa in the 1975 Cricket World Cup.
A109 road (Kenya)
The A109 road is the main road link between the Kenyan cities of Nairobi and Mombasa. It is also known as The Mombasa road. For the majority of the distance, the road runs adjacent to the Nairobi-Mombasa main line, itself a branch of the Uganda Railway. It is also regarded as one of the most dangerous roads in the country due to the many hundreds of road deaths that have occurred in the last few years.
Kenyatta National Hospital
Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi is the oldest hospital in Kenya. Founded in 1901 with a bed capacity of 40 as the Native Civil hospital, it was renamed the King George VI in 1952. At that time the settler community were served by the nearby European Hospital. It was renamed Kenyatta National Hospital -- after Jomo Kenyatta -- following independence from the British. It is currently the largest referral and teaching hospital in the country.
Ngong Racecourse
Ngong Racecourse is a racecourse in Nairobi, Kenya. It is the main and currently only thoroughbred racing venue in Kenya. It is located along the Ngong Road near the Lenana School and next to The Nairobi Business Park, beside Ngong Road Forest. It is operated by the Jockey Club of Kenya. The racecourse was opened 1954, when it replaced the old racecourse in Kariokor, near Nairobi CBD.

The Nairobi Women's Hospital is an hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, that is focused in women's and children's healthcare. The hospital was founded in 2001 by Dr. Sam Thenya and is the first of its kind in the East and Central Africa region. Even if is specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology, the hospital is well equipped and staffed to handle all general medical and surgical conditions. Its tagline is: "We understand today's woman and her child and we prove that everyday".

RFUEA Ground
The RFUEA Ground is a rugby union stadium located on the Ngong Road in Nairobi, Kenya. It was purpose built to be the home of the national team and to serve as the headquarters of the Rugby Football Union of Kenya (RFUK). Coincidentally, the RFUEA ground has another parallel with Twickenham Stadium in the United Kingdom in that it also serves as the home ground for the Kenya Harlequin Football Club, just as their sister club the London Harlequins once played at Twickenham.
Madaraka Estate
Madaraka Estate is a middle class residential neighbourhood in Nairobi located approximately 5 km from the city center. The word madaraka is Swahili for self governance while “estate” refers to a housing development. Popularly known as Maada, the neighbourhood is one of Nairobi City Council’s oldest housing developments besides Jamhuri, Huruma Mariakani and Kariakor estates.
