Kenyatta International Conference Centre
Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) is a 30-storey building located in Nairobi, Kenya. It is located in the central business district of Nairobi. It is a venue for conferences, meetings, exhibitions and special events within a walking distance of several five star hotels. It has hosted many international conferences and seminars. There are several well-equipped conferences and meeting rooms with the largest having a capacity over 4,000 delegates.
Moi Air Base
Moi Air Base, formerly known as RAF Eastleigh and Eastleigh Airport is a military airport located to the east of Nairobi, in the Eastleigh suburb. The airport is used by the Kenya Air Force. Additionally, the air base is the home of the East African School of Aviation run by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, which was established at the airport in 1954 as the DCA training school. The airport is also used to train Kenyan Air Cadets.
Kariobangi
Kariobangi is a low-income residential estate in northeastern Nairobi, Kenya. It consists of both apartments and slum-type dwellings. It is split into two parts, Kariobangi North and Kariobangi South. The northern part was constructed first, with first buildings built in 1961. Kariobangi South Estate is straddled by the Outering Road (on the Eastern part) and the Nairobi – Thika railway line on the Western and southerly parts.
Nyayo National Stadium
Nyayo National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nairobi, Kenya. It is located near the city centre. The stadium holds 30,000 people and was built in 1983. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The popular AFC Leopards football club plays most of its home games at Nyayo stadium. The stadium is also used for athletics and various ceremonies. Other facilities at the Nyayo Stadium include a gymnasium and a 50-metre swimming pool.
Nairobi City Stadium
Nairobi City Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nairobi, Kenya. It is located east of the city centre. The stadium is owned by the Nairobi City Council. The stadium was originally known as African Stadium. then Renamed to Donholm Road Stadium. It was renamed to Jogoo Road Stadium after Kenya gained independence in 1963 and finally to Nairobi City Stadium. It was the principal stadium in Nairobi until the 1980s when Nyayo National Stadium and Moi International Sports Centre were built.
Nairobi Gymkhana Club
Nairobi Gymkhana Club is a cricket ground and team in Nairobi, Kenya. It hosted two matches during the 2003 Cricket World Cup. The ground has a capacity of 7,000 people. It is located north of the central business district, but not far from it. The ground is home to a cricket team of the same name, which is one of the oldest cricket clubs in Kenya.
Starehe Boys' Centre and School
Starehe Boys' Centre and School (popularly known as "Starehe") is a partial-board, boys-only school in Nairobi, Kenya. The school was founded in 1959 by Dr. Geoffrey William Griffin, MBS, OBE, Geoffrey Gatama Geturo and Joseph Kamiru Gikubu. It started as a rescue centre. Starehe and Brookhouse School are the only African schools south of the Sahara and north of the Limpopo distinguished as Round Square members.
Muthaiga Country Club
The Muthaiga Country Club is a club in Nairobi, Kenya. It is located in the suburb of Muthaiga, about 15 minutes' drive from the city centre. The Muthaiga Country Club opened on New Year's Eve in 1913, and became a gathering place for the élite White society of British East Africa, which later became, in 1920, the Colony of Kenya. One of the club's main founders was The Hon. Berkeley Cole (1882-1925), an Anglo-Irish aristocrat from Ulster.

Solar Ice Rink
The Solar Ice Rink is an ice rink located in Nairobi, Kenya. The rink is located in the Panari Sky Centre, a large retail, leisure and hotel accommodation complex. Opened in 2005, the Solar Ice Rink is the largest rink in Africa, and the first rink in East Africa and Central Africa. The rink cost US$700,000 to build. The rink covers an area of 1,400 square metres, and can accommodate 200 skaters.
Nairobi Railway Museum
The Nairobi Railway Museum is a railway museum in Nairobi, Kenya, adjacent to Nairobi railway station. Containing exhibits from the defunct East African Railways, it was opened in 1971 by East African Railways and Harbours Corporation. It is today operated by Kenya Railways. The museum has maintained its rail connection. This allows for the efficient movement of museum exhibits for maintenance etc. It also allows additions to the collection to be easily placed on site.
Simba Union Ground
The Simba Union Ground is one of several cricket grounds in Nairobi. It is also the home of Simba Union Cricket Club as well as the home of Cricket Kenya academy. The ground is located across the road from Kenya's main Cricket ground the Nairobi Gymkhana Club
Kenya Institute of Social Work and Community Development
Kenya Institute of Social Work and Community Development (KISWCD) is a community-focused development and training institution without any governmental, religious or political affiliation. KISWCD was initiated in 1997 and incorporated on 22 June 2000 as a private company limited by guarantee. It was registered by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology on 22 August 2002 as a training institution.
Highway Secondary School
The Highway Secondary is a public secondary (O - level) day school for boys located in Nairobi's South B suburb, Kenya. The school is named for the Mombasa Highway that runs along the school's southern perimeter. The school is classified as a provincial day school.
Mukuru kwa Njenga
Mukuru kwa Njenga is a slum in the East of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. It belongs to Embakasi Constituency. It is one of the largest slums in Nairobi. Kenyan international footballer Patrick Oboya was born in Mukuru kwa Njenga. Among other major slums in Nairobi are Korogocho, Kibera and Mathare. The population of the slum exceeds 100,000. Kwa Njenga Primary School exists there. The Medical Missionary of Mary has a hospital there. There have been cholera deaths in 2009.
Nairobi railway station
Nairobi railway station is a railway station located in Nairobi, Kenya. The station is on the Uganda Railway, and runs services to Mombasa three times per week. There has, however, been suggestion that daily services will resume from around Easter 2010 for the first time since August 2004.
KCA University
KCA University (KCAU) is a private, non-profit institution, founded in July 1989 as Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) to improve the quality of accountancy and financial management training in the country. KCAU is located on Thika Road in Ruaraka, Nairobi, Kenya. The institution also maintains satellite colleges under the School of Professional Programmes in Githunguri, Kericho, Eldoret and Kisumu.
2011 Nairobi pipeline fire
The 2011 Nairobi pipeline fire was caused by an explosion secondary to a fuel spill in the Kenyan capital Nairobi on 12 September 2011. Approximately 100 people were killed in the fire and at least 116 others were hospitalized with varying degrees of burns. The incident was not the first such pipeline accident in Kenya, with the Molo fire of 2009 resulting in at least 133 fatalities and hundreds more injured.
Sir Ali Muslim Club Ground
Sir Ali Muslim Club Ground is a cricket ground in Nairobi, Kenya. The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1994 when Young Kenya played Bangladesh in a warm-up match for the ICC Trophy which Kenya was hosting. In the main event itself, the ground held seven matches involving various national teams. In 2003 the ground held its first List A matches when Kenya played Sri Lanka A in a two match series. The following year a third List A match was held there when Kenya played Pakistan A.

Gor Mahia Football Club is a football club based in Nairobi, Kenya. It is one of the two most popular Kenyan football clubs. Gor Mahia have won 12 Kenyan Premier League titles, one less than archrivals A.F.C. Leopards who have been crowned champions 13 times. Gor Mahia have also won Ten FKF Cup titles. They are to date the only team from Kenya and the CECAFA region to win an African continental title, having won the African Cup Winners' Cup in 1987. after being finalists in 1979.
