Amman
Amman is the capital and largest city of Jordan. It is the country's political, cultural and commercial centre and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. The Greater Amman area has a population of 2,842,629 as of 2010. The population of Amman is expected to jump from 2.8 million to almost 6.5 million by 2025 due to constant and rapid immigration. The recent economic growth experienced in Amman is unmatched by any other Arab city except those located in the Gulf.
Dawson's Field hijackings
In the Dawson's Field hijackings (September 6, 1970), four jet aircraft bound for New York City and one for London were hijacked by members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. By the end of the incident, one hijacker had been killed and one injury reported. TWA Flight 741 from Frankfurt am Main and Swissair Flight 100 from Zürich-Kloten Airport landed at Dawson's Field, a remote desert airstrip near Zarka, Jordan, formerly used as a British Royal Air Force base.
Zarqa
Az-Zarqāʔ is a city in Jordan located to the northeast of Amman. Zarqa is the capital of Zarqa Governorate (Arabic محافظة الزرقاء Muħāfazat az-Zarqā). Its name means "the blue one".
King Abdullah I Mosque
The King Abdullah I Mosque, built between 1982 and 1989 in Amman, Jordan. It is capped by a magnificent blue mosaic dome beneath which 3,000 Muslims may offer prayer.
Raghadan Flagpole
The Raghadan Flagpole is a 126.8-metre tall flagpole in Amman, Jordan. It was built from steel and erected on the grounds of Raghadan Palace at the royal compound of Al-Maquar. The leader of Jordan, King Abdullah II, officially hoisted the country's flag on 10 June 2003. It was the tallest free-standing flagpole in the world at the time, and is clearly visible across the capital as well as from as far away as 20 kilometres .

Amman Civil Airport
Amman Civil Airport at Marka, is a one-terminal airport situated in East Amman, Jordan. It was the home hub of Royal Jordanian Airlines, the national flag carrier, until Queen Alia International Airport was opened in 1983. It mainly serves now as a regional airport servicing domestic and nearby international routes, as well as charter and private VIP flights. It is home to airlines such as Royal Wings, Jordan Aviation, and Arab Wings. Amman Airport is operational 24 hours a day.
Hashemite University
The Hashemite University (الجامعة الهاشمية), often abbreviated HU, is a state-supported university located in Zarqa, Jordan. The Hashemite University has a comprehensive campus with a total built-up area of 300,000 square metres, designed in four phases. The fourth design phase was completed in 2005, exceeding 50,000 sqm.
Marka refugee camp
The Marka refugee camp is one of six "emergency" camps erected in 1968 to shelter 15,000 Palestinian refugees and displaced persons who left the West Bank and the Gaza Strip as a result of the 1967 Arab-Israeli war. Located ten kilometers northeast of Amman in Jordan, it is known locally as Hittin (حطين) or Schneller and houses 44,879 UNRWA registered refugees and over 17,500 displaced persons.
Abdoun Bridge
Wadi Abdoun Bridge is a bridge in Amman, Jordan. The only cable-stayed bridge in the country, it crosses the Wadi Abdoun. The building of the bridge commenced on 14 December 2002 and it was opened on 14 December 2006. It is part of Amman's Beltway project and links North Amman to the 4th Circle and Zahran Street.
Abdoun Circle
Abdoun Circle is a traffic circle in the `Abdoun neighborhood of Amman, Jordan. The circle is across Wadi Abdoun from the 4th Circle, which it is linked to by the Abdoun Bridge. A tunnel under the roundabout was created with the addition of the bridge. The circle is considered a main shopping district of Amman as well as a place with a diverse selection of restaurants. Most of the surrounding cafes have Wifi internet access.
Mango House
The Mango House is a building in Amman, Jordan. Situated on Mango Street, the house looks out toward Jabal Akhddar on the other side of the valley that is downtown Amman.

Al Abdali
Al Abdali is one of the five districts of the Municipality of Greater Amman. It covers an area of 15 square kilometres in the heart of Amman. A population of 120,000 includes the neighborhoods of Shmeisani, Sports City district, Jabal al Hussein, and Jabal Luweibdeh. The old historic areas of Jabal Al Hussein and Luweibdeh also have some of the city's most important government and military locations.
Amman Citadel
The Amman Citadel is a national historic site at the center of downtown Amman, Jordan. Known in Arabic as Jabal al-Qal'a, (جبل القلعة), the L-shaped hill is one of the seven jabals that originally made up Amman. Evidence of occupation since the pottery Neolithic period has been found, making it among the world's oldest continuously inhabited places.
Le Royal Hotel (Amman)
The Le Royal, or Le Royal Hôtel d'Ammān is one of the tallest buildings in Amman, Jordan. Located in the 3rd Circle area, the building serves as a host of Le Royal Hotel chain in addition to a shopping mall, cinemas and commercial offices. The building's original cost of $200 million was increased to $350 million over the course of construction.
Rujm Al-Malfouf
Rujm Al-Malfouf is one of a series of watchtowers from the Ammonite kingdom in modern day Amman, Jordan. Built in the first half of the first millennium BCE, the watchtower is located on Jabal Amman. Rujm Al-Malfouf is next to the Jordanian Ministry of Antiquities.
Jordan Investment Board
Jordan Investment Board (JIB) is the national investment promotion agency of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The organization was founded in 1995, the year the Investment Promotion Law was introduced, and is responsible for acquiring and providing professional consulting services to foreign and domestic investors who want to invest in the growing economy of Jordan.
Specialty Hospital, Jordan
Specialty Hospital is a medical center in Amman, Jordan, established in 1993 under royal patronage. A 250-bed multispecialty equipped facility, it was the first hospital to attain the BS OHSAS 18001 certification and is also the owner of several other international and national accreditations and recognitions, such as MECC award, King Abdullah II award, HCAC accreditation, ISO 9002 and ISO 9001, and more.
Petra Stadium
Petra Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Amman, Jordan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 spectators.
Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company
Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company runs the only oil refinery plant in Jordan. It was established in 1956, and construction of the oil refinery plant started in 1957. Currently, the company covers all the domestic needs of oil products, and commonly exports its products to other countries.
