Taba, Egypt
Taba is a small Egyptian town near the northern tip of the Gulf of Aqaba. Taba is the location of Egypt's busiest border crossing with neighbouring Israel. Little more than a bus depot and a luxury hotel, Taba is a frequent vacation spot for Egyptians and tourists, especially those from Israel on their way to other destinations in Egypt or as a weekend getaway. It is the northernmost resort of Egypt's Red Sea Riviera.

Eilat Airport
Eilat Airport, also known as J. Hozman Airport, is an Israeli airport located in the city of Eilat. It mostly handles domestic flights to Tel Aviv and Haifa with international flights operating instead to Ovda International Airport, but a few international flights on aircraft that can handle the relatively short runway use Eilat as well. Eilat Airport is located in the central area of the city, next to Route 90 (The Arava Road).

Kings City
Kings City is a biblical theme park in Eilat, Israel, which was inaugurated in June 2005. It required an investment of about USD 40 million. It is owned by "Africa Israel", "Elran d.d. Real Estate ltd" and a Swiss investor. The park can handle 4500 visitors per day. In December 2005, Africa Israel, one of the three owners of Kings City, and another Israeli firm, Polar International, announced they had signed a deal to build a giant amusement park in South Carolina at a cost of USD 360 million.
King Hussein International Airport
Aqaba Airport (also known as King Hussein Int´l Airport) is an airport located in the vicinity of Industrial City (Aqaba International Industrial Estate - مدينة العقبة الصناعية الدولية), northern suburb of Aqaba in Jordan. The location of Aqaba is unusual, for within a 15 miles (24 km) radius there are three other countries, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Israel. The airport has a single runway equipped with a category 1 instrument landing system (ILS).

Aqaba Flagpole
The Aqaba Flagpole in Aqaba, Jordan is the fifth tallest free standing flagpole in the world at a height of 130 meters high, after the 165 m Dushanbe Flagpole, 162 m National Flagpole, 160 m Panmunjeom flagpole and 133 m Ashgabat Flagpole. It carries the flag of the Arab Revolt and can be seen from Israel, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.
Eilat bakery bombing
The Eilat bakery bombing occurred on 29 January 2007 when a Palestinian suicide bomber from the Gaza Strip infiltrated the northern suburbs of Eilat, Israel. Upon seeing the police approaching, he entered a neighbourhood bakery and detonated his bomb, killing three people: the bakery's co-owners and an employee. In the midst of Palestinian factional violence, both the Islamic Jihad and the Fatah-affiliated al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed joint responsibility.
Taba Border Crossing
The Taba Border Crossing is an international border crossing between Taba, Egypt, and Eilat, Israel. Opened on April 26, 1982 it is currently the only entry/exit point between the two countries that handles tourists. The site is at the bottom of Mount Tallul and was close to Raffi Nelson's Nelson Village and the Sonesta Hotel which both closed due to the handing over of the Sinai to Egyptian control in exchange for normalization of relations.
Wadi Araba Crossing
The Wadi Araba Border Crossing is an international border crossing between Aqaba, Jordan and Eilat, Israel. Opened on August 8, 1994, it is currently one of three entry/exit points between the two countries that handles tourists. In February 2006, the Israelis renamed their border terminal to Yitzhak Rabin Terminal, after the late Prime Minister.
Yoseftal Medical Center
Yoseftal Medical Center is a hospital in Eilat, Israel. Yoseftal Hospital, founded in 1968, is the southernmost hospital in Israel and the only hospital covering the southern Negev desert. It is named after Giora Yoseftal. It is Israel's smallest general hospital with 65 beds.
Netafim Border Crossing
The Netafim Crossing is a border crossing between Israel and Egypt. It is located adjacent to Highway 12, about 12 km north of Eilat, 1 km north west of Ein Netafim. The control of the border crossing was handed over to the Israel Airports Authority in 1980; nowadays it is closed. Very seldom it is reopened under special circumstances. There are plans to reopen the border crossing passage as alternative during festivals, in coordination with the Egyptian authorities.

2011 southern Israel cross-border attacks
On August 18, 2011, a series of cross-border attacks with parallel attacks and mutual cover was carried out in southern Israel on Highway 12 near the Egyptian border by a squad of presumably 12 militants in four groups. The attacks occurred after Israels interior security service Shin Beth had warned of a terror attack in the region and massive Israeli troops had been stationed in the area. Ein Netafim
Ein Netafim is a water spring in the Eilat mountains located near the Israeli border with Egypt. The spring is located about seven kilometers north of the city of Eilat, near the Highway 12 road which leads to Eilat. This is the fountain of perennial only in the area adjacent to Eilat . Ein Netafim is the only natural water source Eilat Mountains that is flowing all year round and serves as the main source of drinking water for the animals in its surrounding.
Ayla (city)
Ayla is an ancient Islamic city which was established on the site of the present Aqaba in Jordan. It was the first Islamic city founded outside the Arabian Peninsula. Its ruins are located northwest of the current city center.
Aqaba castle
Aqaba Castle, Mamluk Castle or Aqaba Fort (قلعة العقبة): Located in Aqaba, Jordan. The scene of a great Arab victory in July 1916 when this heavily defended Turkish stronghold fell to a daring Arab camel charge. Lawrence of Arabia rode triumphantly from here to Cairo to report the good news to an astonished General Allenby. The port of Aqaba became a major supply base for the advancing Arab Revolt The castle was originally built by the Mamluk sultan Qansweh Al Ghuri in the 14th century.
