Tottori Castle
Tottori Castle was the central castle of the Tottori han (fief) in feudal Japan. It was a yamashiro, or 'mountain-castle', built into the mountain itself, using natural obstacles and defenses to a greater extent than man-made walls. Currently, little remains of the castle aside from parts of the stone wall, and one gate, which is reinforced with iron, and features spikes on the outsides of the doors, to help protect against attackers.

Sand Museum
The Sand Museum first opened by the Tottori Sand Dunes, Tottori, Japan in 2006, displaying sand sculptures in temporary facilities. In 2012 it reopened in what is said to be the world's first permanent indoor exhibition space dedicated to the art, with works by fifteen international sculptors.
Tottori Folk Crafts Museum
The Tottori Folk Crafts Museum opened in Tottori, Japan, in 1949. It was established as the Tottori Mingeikan by Yoshida Shōya, local advocate of the mingei folk craft movement, who formed a craft guild in 1931 and opened the craft shop "Takumi" in the city the following year. The building in which the museum is housed was registered as a Tangible Cultural Property in 2012.
