is a small wooden Shinto shrine located directly south of Yasukuni Shrine's honden (main shrine) in Yasukuni Shrine precinct. The ground-level section of the station is managed by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and the underground sections are managed by Tokyo Metro and Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (Toei Subway). In 1878 Kōjimachi became a ward in the city of Tokyo. It was the forerunner of Chiyoda which is now a special ward. The Kōjimachi ward was larger than present day Kōjimachi.
