University of Tokyo
, abbreviated as Todai, is a research university located in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan. The University has 10 faculties with a total of around 30,000 students, 2,100 of whom are foreign. Its five campuses are in Hongō, Komaba, Kashiwa, Shirokane and Nakano. It is the first of Japan's National Seven Universities, and is considered the most prestigious university in Japan. Bunkyo Gakuin University
is a coeducational university located in Bunkyō, Tokyo, Japan, near the University of Tokyo. Bunkyo Gakuin University was founded in April 1991 in Kamekubo, Ōimachi, Iruma, Saitama by Ishiko Shimada. Nippon Medical School
is a private university in Sendagi, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Japan. In 1876, Tai Hasegawa established a medical school in Tokyo. At that time, the Japanese government and the ministry of education had never permitted any medical schools except The University of Tokyo School of Medicine. So, during the Meiji era, people who wanted to be medical doctor had to take an exam to receive a medical doctor's license. The Saisei Gakusha was a cram school to pass the exam.

Bunkyo Gakuin College is a private junior college in Bunkyō, Tokyo, Japan. It was set up as a women's junior college in 1963, and became coeducational in 2006. After a new schoolhouse had been built to Ōi, Saitama, it became three systems of the subject in 1982. It became a single department junior college again in April 1997.
Koishikawa Ukiyo-e Art Museum
Koishikawa Ukiyo-e Art Museum is located in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan. Its collection includes ukiyo-e genre paintings of Edo Period, in particular, prints of Utamaro, Hokusai and Hiroshige. Every month the museum changes the ukiyo-e exhibition. This small museum was opened in November 1998, its aim is to promote understanding of ukiyo-e culture. The museum is about 2 minutes on foot from Kōrakuen Station, near the Bunkyo Civic Center. It is open from 11:00 until 18:00, the entrance fee is 500 yen.
