Chiiori
is the name of an Edo period minka farmhouse in the Iya Valley, western Tokushima, Japan. Purchased by Alex Kerr in the 1970s, the house is now home to staff members of Chiiori Trust, a non-profit organization based in Iya Valley that is working toward solutions to the problems surrounding depopulation in rural Japan. From 1997 to 2007, Kerr shared ownership of Chiiori with Mason Florence.
Hōnen'ike Dam
Hōnen'ike Dam (豊稔池ダム -damu) is a multiple-arch dam in the Sanuki Mountain range at Ōnohara, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. The reservoir it creates is used for irrigation. Construction began in 1926 and was completed in 1930. The dam is 31 m high and has a crest length of 128 m. It is supported by six arched buttresses. Some renovation work has been needed to control leakage; special care has been taken due to its status as a cultural asset.
Unpenji Ropeway
The Unpenji Ropeway is Japanese aerial lift line in Kan'onji, Kagawa, operated by Shikoku Cable. Opened in 1987, the line climbs to Unpen-ji, the 66th temple of Shikoku Pilgrimage. The temple is at the highest altitude point of the entire pilgrimage. At the summit, Shikoku Cable also operates Snow Park Unpenji, a ski resort, as well as Wind Park Unpenji, a paragliding field.
Hashikurasan Ropeway
The Hashikurasan Ropeway is the name of Japanese aerial lift line in Ikeda, Tokushima, as well as its operator. The line climbs Mount Hashikura of Hashikura-dera, a famous temple. Refurbished in 1999, this is the first funitel to be operated in Asia. As of October 2007, there are three other funitel lines in Japan. However, all other lines are funitel gondola lifts, while Hashikurasan Ropeway is the only funitel aerial tramway.

Kotohiki Hachiman-gū
Kotohiki Hachiman-gū is a Shinto shrine in Kan'onji, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. Located within Kotohiki Park, itself part of the Setonaikai National Park, there is an aetiological legend that sees the god Hachiman appearing to the eighth-century monk Nisshō Shōnin while he was playing a koto on board ship. The legend is depicted in the Sanuki-no-kuni Shippōzan Hachiman Kotobikigū engi, records that are an Important Cultural Property of the City.
