Kadena Air Base
, is a United States Air Force base in the towns of Kadena and Chatan and the city of Okinawa, in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Kadena Air Base is the hub of U.S. airpower in the Pacific, and home to the USAF's 18th Wing and a variety of associate units.
Zakimi Castle
is a gusuku in Yomitan, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. It is in ruins, but the walls and foundations have been restored. Built between 1416 and 1422 by the renowned Ryukyuan militarist Gosamaru, Zakimi Castle oversaw the northern portion of the Okinawan mainland. The gusuku fortress has two inner courts, each with an arched gate. This is Okinawa's first stone arch gate featuring the unique keystone masonry of the Ryukyus.

Opened in 1981, the school is for English-speaking American military dependents. It is run under the supervision of the Okinawa Department of Defense Dependents Schools District.

The Okinawa Islands are an island group in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, and are the principal island group of the prefecture. The Southeast Botanical Gardens (100 acres) are commercial botanical gardens located in the city of Okinawa, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. They are open daily; an admission fee is charged. The gardens contain over 2,000 plant species, including some 450 species of palms, as well as flowers, fruit trees, a Polynesian Lake with carp, and an insect collection.
Yontan Airfield
Yontan Airfield (also known as Yomitan Auxiliary Airfield) is a former military airfield on Okinawa, located near the village of Sobe on the Okinawa western coast. It was closed in July 1996 and turned over to the Japanese government in December 2006. Today it is abandoned with a series of roads overlaid over the former airfield runways.
