Sadowara, Miyazaki was a town located in Miyazaki District, Miyazaki, Japan. On January 1, 2006 Sadowara, along with the town of Tano, also from Miyazaki District; and the town of Takaoka, from Higashimorokata District, was merged into the expanded city of Miyazaki and no longer exists as an independent municipality. As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 32,882 and a density of 578.50 persons per km². The total area was 56.84 km².
Seagaia Ocean Dome
The Seagaia Ocean Dome was the world's largest indoor waterpark, located in Miyazaki, Miyazaki, Japan. The Ocean Dome, which was a part of the Sheraton Seagaia Resort, measured 300 metres in length and 100 metres in width, and was listed on the Guinness World Records. It opened in 1993, and visitor numbers peaked in 1995 at 1.25 million a year. Depending on the season, entrance cost was ¥2600 per adult and ¥1600 for children (roughly 30 and 20 USD in 1995 respectively).
