San Fermo Maggiore (Verona)
San Fermo Maggiore is a church built in Romanesque style in central Verona. A church at this site may has been traced to the 8th century, and by the 11th century a second story and belltower was added by the Benedictine order. The campanile was not completed until the 13th century, it contains six bells in F cast in 1755 and rung with the Veronese bellringing art. The exterior has a roofline with pinnacles, and the church once held the tomb of a member of the Scaligers.
Padre Filippini (Verona)
The church of Padri Filippini, also known as the church of the Filippini, is a Neoclassical church in Verona, which like the older and neighboring church of San Fermo Maggiore is dedicated to the saints Fermo and Rustico. Finding the older church of San Fermo Minore too narrow and cramped, the Oratorians in 1746 decided to replace it with this larger structure using plans by Andrea Camerata, Construction was completed in 1791.
San Tomaso Becket (Verona)
The church of San Tomaso Becket, commonly known as the church of San Tomaso Cantuariense, is a church situated in the central Verona, near the Ponte Nuovo del Popolo. The present church was built by Carmelites to replace two 14th century churches, one dedicated to St Thomas Becket (1316), the other to the Annunciation (1351). The architect Michele Sammicheli designed the plans during 1545-1550. The façade remains incomplete.
