Trentino
Trentino is an autonomous province of Italy. Trentino is, along with South Tyrol, one of the two provinces which make up the region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, which is designated an autonomous region under the constitution. The province is divided into 217 comuni (municipalities). Its capital is the town of Trento, historically known in English as Trent. The province covers an area of more than 6,000 km, with a total population of about 0.5 million.
Bolzano Victory Monument
The Victory Monument is a monument in Bolzano, northern Italy, erected on the personal orders of Mussolini. The 19 metre wide Victory Gate was designed by architect Marcello Piacentini. Its construction was dedicated to the "Martyrs of World War I". Mendel Pass
The Mendel Pass (German: Mendelpass or Mendel, Italian: Passo della Mendola, Passo Mendola or Mendola) is a 1,362 metre-high mountain pass between the provinces of Trentino and South Tyrol in Italy. The pass road begins in the town of Fondo in the Non Valley and ends southwest of the city of Bolzano. The pass is open year-round, but trailers are prohibited. The pass road, SS 42, has a maximum grade of 12%, but is relatively straight.
Runkelstein Castle
Runkelstein Castle is located on a rocky spur in the territory of Ritten, near the city of Bolzano in South Tyrol, Italy. In 1237 Alderich Prince-Bishop of Trent gave the brothers Friedrich and Beral Lords of Wangen permission to construct a castle on the rock then called Runchenstayn.
Bolzano Tramway
The Bolzano Tram was built to connect the various villages near Bolzano. At the time, Zwölfmalgreien, Bolzano and Gries were three independent municipalities.

Eisack
The Eisack is a river in Northern Italy, the second largest river in South Tyrol. Its source is near the Brenner Pass, at an altitude of about 1990 m above sea level. The river draws water from an area of about 4,200 km². After about 96 km, it joins the Adige river south of Bolzano. At first the river flows though the Wipptal and after the village of Vahrn through the Eisacktal. Its source is sung of in the Bozner Bergsteigerlied as the northern frontier of the South Tyrolean homeland.
Bolzano Transit Camp
The Bolzano transit camp (German: Polizei- und Durchgangslager Bozen) was a Nazi concentration camp active in Bolzano between 1944 and the end of the Second World War. It was one of the largest Nazi Lager on Italian soil, along with those of Fossoli, Borgo San Dalmazzo and Trieste.
PalaOnda
PalaOnda or Eiswelle is an indoor sports arena in Bolzano, Italy. Built in 1993, it has an Ice Hockey seating capacity for 7,200 people. It was built to host the 1994 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships along with Forum Di Assago. It is the home arena of the Hockey Club Bolzano-Bozen ice hockey team, of the Serie A ice hockey league. The arena hosted the 2010–11 CEV Champions League final four.

Brenner Railway
The Brenner Railway is a major line connecting the Austrian and Italian railways from Innsbruck and Verona climbing the Wipptal (German for “Wipp Valley”), passing over the Brenner Pass and descending down the Eisack Valley to Bolzano and then down the Adige Valley from Bolzano to Rovereto and from there along the section of the Adige valley called in Italian the “Vallagarina” to Verona. The line is part of the Line 1 of Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T).
Messner Mountain Museum
The Messner Mountain Museum or MMM is a museum project by Italian mountaineer and extreme climber, Reinhold Messner, in South Tyrol in northern Italy. The mountain museum is based at five different locations. The project comprises the museum centre of MMM Firmian and its satellites of MMM Juval, MMM Dolomites, MMM Ortles and MMM Ripa. Starting from the central structure, the routes between the centre and its satellites form a network; the scenery en route is also part of the museum.
Sigmundskron Castle
Sigmundskron Castle is an extensive castle and set of fortifications near Bolzano in South Tyrol. Today its ruins house the fourth mountain museum established by the South Tyrolean mountaineer, Reinhold Messner. On 9 June 2006 the MMM was opened in this fortified castles dating to the Late Middle Ages.
Bolzano/Bozen railway station
Bolzano/Bozen railway station serves the city and comune of Bolzano-Bozen, in the autonomous region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, northeastern Italy. Opened in 1859, it forms part of the Brenner railway (Verona–Innsbruck), and is also a junction of two branch lines, to Merano/Meran and Malles/Mals, respectively. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni.

It was built between 1276 and 1278 by Meinhard, Count of Tyrol for his trusted vassal Friedrich, a burgher from Bozen. Little is known about Friedrich, son of Landfried, before he entered Meinhards services.
