The Basilica della Santissima Annunziata del Vastato is a Catholic cathedral in Genoa, northern Italy; its decoration employed the major baroque studios and artists in Genoa in the 17th century. In Latin, vastinium referred to a safety belt within the protective bastions.

The garden was established in 1979 by GLAO (Group Ligure Amatori Orchids), and since 1983 has expanded to encompass additional species, primarily from the Alps and Apennine mountain.

Lighthouse of Genoa
The Lighthouse of Genoa, is the main lighthouse for the city's port. Besides being an important aid to night navigation in the vicinity, the tower serves as a symbol for the City of Genoa, and is one of the oldest standing structures of its kind in the world. It is built on the hill of San Benigno at some little distance from the Sampierdarena neighborhood. At 249 feet it is the world's second tallest "traditional lighthouse" built of masonry.

It is Genoa's third most important railway station, after Genova Piazza Principe and Genova Brignole. The station is owned by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), a subsidiary of the Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) group. The commercial area of the station building is managed by Centostazioni.

Darsena literally means dock in English and the station serves the old port area of the city. This station has the peculiarity of having a very large bright mezzanine which gives the structure an imposing appearance. There are two exits: one is in the northerly sidewalk, the other is towards the quayside under the elevated Strada Aldo Moro .

San Pancrazio (Genoa)
The church of San Pancrazio is found in central Genoa, in front of the piazza named after the same . A document from the 16th century notes that the church had been for centuries endowed by prominent Genoese families including the Calvi and Pallavicini. The present layout dates in to the 18th century.

Located today in the historical center near the Basilica of the Vastato, it occupies the place of a religious structure originally dedicated to the apostles. In later centuries, the church was then named after St Syrus of Genoa, a beatified bishop.
San Filippo Neri (Genoa)
San Filippo Neri is a Baroque church on via Lomellini in central Genoa. The order of the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri had arrived in Genoa in 1643, under the sponsorship of the Oratorian and Marchese Camillo Pallavicini who was born in Genoa. Originally housed in the church of San Pancrazio, by 1674 the order began a move to this new site and built their church and chapter house on the site of a former palace of the Lomellino family.
Santi Quirico e Giulitta (Genoa)
The church Santi Quirico e Giulitta is a church in the Genovese quarter of San Quirico, located on val Polcevera. A church at the site is first recorded by 1143. It underwent a number of reconstructions and enlargements. By the 1840s, the church nearly lay in ruins, with the roof caving in. Construction of the present Neoclassic structure and façade began in 1849; it represents the designs of the architect Angelo Scaniglia, and was consecrated in 1851.
Santi Vittore e Carlo (Genoa)
Santi Vittore e Carlo is a Baroque style church on Via Balbi in central Genoa, Italy. Originally belonging to the Discalced Carmelite Order, the church was constructed in the shape of a Latin Cross between 1629 and 1635 from a design by Bartolomeo Bianco. Designs by Eugenio Durazzo were incorporated in 1743 with the construction of a façade.
