Vatican Observatory
The Vatican Observatory (Specola Vaticana) is an astronomical research and educational institution supported by the Holy See. Originally based in the Roman College of Rome, its headquarters are now in Castel Gandolfo, Italy, and an observatory at the Mount Graham International Observatory in the United States. Lake Albano
Lake Albano is a small volcanic crater lake in the Alban Hills of Lazio, at the foot of Monte Cavo, 20 kilometres southeast of Rome. Overlooking it is Castel Gandolfo, where the Pope has a palace. It was known to the Roman Empire as Albanus Lacus. In its vicinity stood Alba Longa. The lake is the deepest, about 170 m, in Lazio.
Villa Sciarra
Not to be confused with the Villa Sciarra in Rome. The Villa Sciarra is a villa in Frascati, Italy. Also called Villa Bel Poggio, the Villa Sciarra was built in 1570 at the orders of Ottaviano Vestri. The portal gate of the gardens is to ascribe to Nicola Salvi. The main edifice of the villa was destroyed when Frascati was bombed by Americans on September 8, 1943. The gardens are now a public park.
Villa Grazioli
Villa Grazioli is a villa in Frascati, Italy, now in Grottaferrata communal territory. It was built at the end of the 16th century by Cardinal Carafa, projected by architect Domenico Fontana. The villa was enlarged by the new property, the family Acquaviva of Aragon, of the House of Atri. In 1843 the Grazioli family bought the villa. In some rooms Agostino Ciampelli (1565-1630) pictured the villa with decoration works, the paintings show rural life and rustic scene.

Villa Torlonia (Frascati)
The Villa Torlonia in Frascati is a villa belonging to the Torlonia family in Frascati, Italy. The land on which the villa was built originally belonged to the Abbey of Grottaferrata, which donated it in 1563 to Annibal Caro, who commissioned a small villa where he spent the last years of his life, translating the Aeneid. (In 1896, Prince Leopoldo Torlonia placed a memorial stone to remember this event.
Alba Longa
Alba Longa (occasionally written Albalonga in Italian sources) was an ancient city of Latium in central Italy, 12 miles southeast of Rome, in the Alban Hills. Founder and head of the Latin League, it was destroyed by Rome around the middle of the 7th century BC. In legend, Romulus and Remus, founders of Rome, had come from the royal dynasty of Alba Longa.
