The Province of Ferrara (Italian: Provincia di Ferrara) is a province in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Ferrara. It has an area of 2,632 km², about two thirds of the area of the U.S. State of Rhode Island, and a total population of about 350,000. University of Ferrara

The University of Ferrara (Italian: Università degli Studi di Ferrara) is the main university of the city of Ferrara in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. In the years prior to the First World War the University of Ferrara, with more than 500 students, was the best attended of the free universities in Italy. Today there are approximately 12,000 students enrolled at the University of Ferrara with nearly 400 degrees granted each year.

Palazzo Schifanoia

Palazzo Schifanoia is a Renaissance palace in Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna built for the Este family. Teatro Comunale (Ferrara)

The Teatro Comunale (Communal Theatre) in Ferrara is an opera house, located in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, and built between 1786 and 1797. It used to seat 990. Privately owned theatres with limited seating capacity had existed in the city for many years, but the arrival of Cardinal Spinelli, the new papal envoy, in 1786 spurred the construction of a new public theatre under the architects Cosimo Morelli and Antonio Foschini.

University of Ferrara Botanic Garden

The University of Ferrara Botanic Garden is a 4,500 square metre botanical garden operated by the University of Ferrara. It is located at Corso Porta Mare, 2b, I-44100 Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, and is open weekday mornings. Admission is free. The university's garden was originally established in 1771 at a location on the via Paradiso, but in 1963 it was moved to its present location.

Ferrara Synagogue

The Ferrara Synagogue is a synagogue located in Ferrara, Italy. The synagogue is the sole surviving synagogue is the only surviving representative of the several synagogues that once flourished in Ferrara. It is located in the historic Jewish community building of 1421 at 95 via Mazzini, which once housed two other synagogues, destroyed by fascists during WWII. Other synagogues were once located nearby. The building also houses a Jewish museum.

Sant'Antonio in Polesine

Sant'Antonio in Polesine is a Catholic monastic complex of the nuns of the Order of Saint Benedict located in Ferrara, Italy and dedicated to Anthony the Great. Santa Maria in Vado

Santa Maria in Vado is a church located on Via Brogovado number 3 in Ferrara, Italy. The church derives its name from a guado or fording (vado in dialect) that was located nearby.
