Mergellina
Mergellina is a coastal section of the city of Naples, Italy. It is located in the quartiere of Chiaia, demarcated by two streets: via Caracciolo e via Partenope. It stands a the foot of the Posillipo Hill and faces the Castel dell'Ovo. The name derives from that of a shorebird called "mergoglino".
Piedigrotta
Piedigrotta Literally, "at the foot of the grotto". A section of the Mergellina quarter of Naples, Italy, so-called for the presence of the Church of the Madonna of Piedigrotta near the entrance to an ancient Roman tunnel. The area was also well known for an annual festival, which gives rise to a song writing competition leading to the commercial birth of the popular Neapolitan Song.
Parco Virgiliano (Mergellina)
Parco Vergiliano (not to be confused with Parco Virgiliano at Posillipo) is a public park in Naples, southern Italy. It is located directly across from the Mergellina railway station and in back of the church of Santa Maria di Piedigrotta. It is a relatively small space and easy to overlook. The site is a monument tribute to the poet Virgil, and a plaque claims that the site is the final resting place of the poet.
Chiaia
Chiaia is a neighbourhood on the seaside in Naples, bounded by Piazza Vittoria on the east and Mergellina on the west. The most prominent landmark in the area is the large public park known as the Villa Comunale. Historically, it underwent initial development in the late 16th and early 17th centuries as the Spanish rulers of Naples opened the city to the west of its historic boundaries. The Renaissance poet Laura Terracina was born in Chiaia and grew up there.
Villa Donn'Anna
Villa Donn'Anna is a historic residence in Naples, Italy. It sits prominently at water's edge at the beginning of the Posillipo coast, just west of the Mergellina boat harbor. The building is on the site of the so-called "Rocks of the Siren" and, indeed, was originally called La Villa Sirena. The original building on the site was probably built by one Dragonetto Bonifacio in the early 15th century.

Opened in 1931, the Mergellina Funicular was the fourth, and most recent cable railway opened in Naples. The Mergellina Funicular connects five stations, Manzoni station, Parco Angelina station, San Gioacchino station, San Antonio station, and Mergellina station.

Napoli Mergellina railway station (Italian: Stazione di Napoli Mergellina) serves the city and comune of Naples, in the region of Campania, southern Italy. Opened in 1925, it is the third most important railway station in Naples, after Napoli Centrale and Napoli Campi Flegrei. It also forms part of the Naples Passante railway. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni.
Santa Maria di Piedigrotta, Naples
Santa Maria di Piedigrotta is a Baroque-style church in Naples, Italy; it is located in the neighborhood or quartiere of Piedigrotta. A church at the site was consecrated by 1353, and dedicated to the Birth of the Virgin. It was established at the site of an older chapel sheltering a wooden Byzantine icon of the Virgin dell'Itria (Odigitria). Legend holds the Virgin appeared to three individuals requesting the church to be built.
San Giuseppe a Chiaia, Naples
San Giuseppe a Chiaia is a church in Naples, Italy. Originally founded as a chapel for the Jesuit Order; it was enlarged during 1666-1673 under designs by Tommaso Carrere. With the suppression of the Jesuit Order, the church changed management. About 1817, under the patronage of Ferdinando I it became a hospice for the blind called the Casa di San Giuseppe e Lucia.
Fontana del Sebeto, Naples
The Fontana del Sebeto is a monumental fountain located in largo Sermoneta in the zone of Mergellina of Naples, Italy. The fountain was commissioned by the viceroy Emanuele Zunica e Fonseca, and built by Carlo Fanzago based on a design by his father, Cosimo. Originally situated on Via Gusmana (now Via Cesario Console), in 1939, it was moved to the actual location. The base is made of rock from Piperno; the superior has three basins of marble.
