Villa San Michele
The Villa San Michele was built around the turn of the 20th century by the Swedish physician, Axel Munthe, on the ruins of the Roman Emperor Tiberius's villa, on the Isle of Capri, Italy. Its gardens have panoramic views of Capri town and its marina, the Sorrentine Peninsula and Mount Vesuvius. The villa and its grounds sit on a ledge at the top of the Phoenician Steps, between Anacapri and Capri, at 327 meters above sea level.

Phoenician Steps
The Phoenician Steps (La Scala Fenicia) of Capri are a long and steep stone stairway that unites the population center of Capri with that of Anacapri. The stairway was made probably by ancient Greek colonists, however, rather than by Phoenicians. Before the completion of a motorway, the Steps formed the only means of reaching Anacapri, which is located hundreds of feet above the Mediterranean Sea (the prefix Ana in the name of the place comes from classical Greek and signifies "above").
Torre Materita
Torre Materita is an ancient medieval tower converted into a villa located in the comune of Anacapri, Capri. Built in 1378 by monks of the Certosa di San Giacomo to defend the population from the incursions of the Saracens, the villa is located on the road from the town of Anacapri, leads to the lighthouse at Punta Carena. From 1908 to 1943 it was the residence of the Swedish doctor and writer Axel Munthe. Here the senior doctor wrote his most famous book: "The Story of San Michele".

The Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo ("Church of St Michael the Archangel) is located in Anacapri, Capri, Italy. Located on Piazza San Nicola and built in 1719, it is octagonal in shape and of Baroque style. The church received a "monument" designation due to its notable majolica floor mosaic.
Chiesa di Santa Sofia
The Chiesa di Santa Sofia (Santa Sofia Church) is located in the Piazza of Anacapri, on the island of Capri, Italy. It dates to 1596 when it replaced Chiesa di Santa Maria di Costantinopoli as the parish church. Some of the building materials and fittings, such as the sacristy and oratorio, were originally in the Chiesa di San Carlo. The church chapels are dedicated to Sant'Antonio, Anacapri's patron saint, and the Madonna del Buon Consiglio.

Chiesa di Santa Maria di Costantinopoli is located in the Li Curti district of Anacapri, on the island of Capri, Italy. Built in the eleventh century and restored in the seventeenth century, its architectural features include Gothic and Byzantine elements. It contains several works by the Flemish painter Willem Borremans. At one time the parish church of Anacapri, the Chiesa di Santa Maria di Costantinopoli was replaced by the Chiesa di Santa Sofia in that role.
