Ponevezh Yeshiva

Ponevezh Yeshiva, often pronounced Ponevitch Yeshiva, is a world renowned yeshiva located in Bnei Brak, Israel. Donated by Henry Krausher, it was originally established in the town of Panevėžys, Lithuania. The yeshiva has over one thousand students, and is arguably the leading Litvak-style yeshiva in Israel today. As of January 2007 the Roshei Yeshiva were Rabbis Gershon Eidelstein, Boruch Dov Povarski and Haim Shloime Leibovitz.

HaMakhtesh Stadium

The HaMakhtesh Stadium was a stadium in the central Israeli city of Giv'atayim and the home of Hapoel Ramat Gan. The name "HaMakhtesh" translates into English as "The Crater". The stadium was originally opened in 1927 and nowadays has an all-seated capacity of 5,500. There were only two stands; one behind a goal and the other alongside the pitch.

Bnei Brak Railway Station

Bnei Brak Railway Station is a suburban passenger railway station in Israel, operated by Israel Railways. It is located near the Bnei Brak – Ramat Gan and Bnei Brak – Tel Aviv borders next to the Ayalon Mall and the Ramat Gan Stadium. In spite of its proximity to important industrial and commercial areas of Gush Dan as well as to residential areas of Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak is one of the least popular stations of Israel Railways, possibly because of its misleading name and lack of awareness.

Ayalon Mall

Maccabiah bridge collapse

The Maccabiah bridge collapse was the catastrophic failure of a pedestrian bridge over the Yarkon River in Tel Aviv, Israel on July 14, 1997. The collapse of the temporary wooden structure killed four and injured 60 Australian athletes who were visiting Israel to participate in the Maccabiah Games. One of the four athletes died during the collapse, but the other three were killed afterwards by infections caused by exposure to the polluted river water.

Slabodka yeshiva (Bnei Brak)

A branch of the Slabodka Yeshiva was opened in Bnei Brak by Rabbi Isaac Sher, a son-in-law of the Alter of Slabodka, Rabbi Nosson Tzvi Finkel. Rabbi Sher was succeeded by his own son-in-law, Rabbi Mordechai Shulman who is in turn succeeded by his son-in-law, Rabbi Moshe Hillel Hirsch. Presently, the Yeshiva houses approximately 500 Talmudic students. Despite the Lithuanian affiliation of the Yeshiva, many of its students are chassidic.

Geha Interchange bus stop bombing

The Geha Interchange bus stop bombing was a suicide bombing which occurred on December 25, 2003 on a bus stop at the Geha Interchange on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, Israel. Four people were killed in the attack and 16 injured. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine claimed responsibility for the attack.

Geha Interchange

The Geha Interchange is the confluence of Highway 4 and Road 481 in Israel. The interchange is named after the Geha Mental Health Center which was once located near the Interchange but was moved when it was decided to construct the Interchange. The interchange opened to traffic on March 30, 1981. Luna Park, Tel Aviv

Luna Park, Tel Aviv is an amusement park complex located in the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds from 1970. The Luna Park was opened as a public urban amusement park.
