Ashdod-Sea
Ashdod-Yam is an Iron Age archaeological site on the Mediterranean coast of Israel in southern part of the modern city of Ashdod and about 5 kilometres southwest of Tel Ashdod (site of one of the ancient cities of the Philistines). The site is mentioned in documents from the time of Sargon II of Assyria when in 713 BCE the Assyrian king speaks of having to depose a usurper who had taken over control of the city of Ashdod and had fortified it, Gath, and Ashdod-Yam.

Port of Ashdod
The Port of Ashdod is one of Israel's two main cargo ports. The port is located in Ashdod, about 40 kilometers south of Tel Aviv, adjoining the mouth of the Lachish River. Its establishment significantly enhanced the country's port capacity. It is a major point of entry for both cargo and tourists in and out of Israel, as well as imported military equipment. Ships carrying humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip also unload their cargo at the port.
Ashdod Marina
Blue Marina in Ashdod is one of the newest marinas in Israel. It is located close to the city center in the middle of beach zone. The marina has berths for nearly 550 crafts. The surrounding area is being developed and will have hotels, restaurants, artificial lakes, and promenades. The Blue Marina is a center of for sea sports as well. There are surfing, sailing, and diving schools located onsite. Number of berths: 4.
Lakhish River
Lakhish River is a river in Israel that flows into the Mediterranean Sea at the city of Ashdod. It is also known as Wadi Kabiba (inland section) and Wadi Sukhrir (Ashdod section) in Arabic. The basin square is 1,020 km and the length is about 70 km. The river sources are in the southern West Bank and the stream often floods during the rainy season. The river is polluted by industrial waste and sewage, due in part to its location separating the industrial zone and port from the rest of Ashdod.

Yud-Alef Stadium
The Yud-Alef Stadium is a football stadium in Ashdod, Israel, that was built for local football sides Ironi Ashdod and Hapoel Ashdod. It was named the Yud-Alef after the eleven Israeli athletes murdered in the Munich massacre. There are four stands in the stadium which is not aesthetically pleasing. The stadium is also thought to be one of the few in the world where the home fans have fewer seats than the visitors.
Ashdod Sand Dune
Ashdod Nitzanim Sand Dune Park is a psammosere ecosystem located close to the city of Ashdod on the Israeli Coastal Plain near the Mediterranean sea. It is located south of Tel Aviv and represents the landscape on which most of modern-day Israel was constructed on by pioneers following various Aliyah's and the Establishment of the State of Israel in 1948.

Yeshivat Kerem B'Yavneh is a major yeshiva in Israel near the city of Ashdod and adjacent to Kvutzat Yavne.
Kal'at Al Mina
Kal'at Al Mina is Fatimid citadel in Ashdod-Sea site on the southern coast of modern city of Ashdod. It was built during the Ancient Arab Era (640-1099). The rectangular fortress (60/40 meters) has four guard towers, one at each corner. The towers were enclosed by a wall six to seven meters high. Two huge gates in the wall gave access to the stronghold. The fortress was destroyed in earthquake in 1033.
Ashdod Ad Halom Railway Station
Ashdod Ad Halom Railway Station (also known as Ashdod Darom) is a railway station in Ashdod, Israel. It is currently served by the Binyamina–Tel Aviv–Ashkelon suburban line. Ashdod Ad Halom Station was opened in June 1995 and was fully rebuilt in 2003. Starting in 1917 a small station also operated at the site during the Mandate period on the Beirut–Cairo line. The station is located in Ad Halom area near the eastern entrance to the city of Ashdod.
Be'er Tuvia Regional Council
Be'er Tuvia Regional Council, is a regional council in the southern Coastal Plain region in Israel. It borders Yoav and Nahal Sorek regional councils in the east; Hof Ashkelon regional council, the Mediterranean Sea, the city of Ashdod and Gan Yavne local council in the west; Gederot, Hevel Yavne regional councils and Gedera, Bnei Aish local councils in the north; Shafir regional council in the south. The town of Kiryat Malakhi is enclaved in the middle.
Yeshivat Or Etzion
Yeshivat Or Etzion is a Hesder Yeshiva, religious high school, and religious army preparation high school. It is located in Merkaz Shapira, Israel. It was founded in 1978. Its Rosh yeshiva is Rabbi Haim Drukman. The "Yeshiva Gavoha" roll is approximately 220 students. Yeshiva Gavoha offers the full Hesder military service, but opts for an extra year of study in Yeshiva before the army service.
Gederot Regional Council
Gederot Regional Council is a regional council in the Center District of Israel. It is located between Ashdod, Yavne and Gedera and covers an area of 13,000 dunams. Founded in 1953, its population is 4,200. It borders on Brenner Regional Council to the north, Hevel Yavne Regional Council to the west, Be'er Tuvia Regional Council and Gan Yavne to the south, and the city of Gedera to the east.
Highway 41 (Israel)
Highway 41 is a highway in south-central Israel. It connects Ashdod in the west with Gedera in the east. Highway 41 is a primary transport link to the Port of Ashdod.
Ashkelon Railway Station
The Ashkelon Railway Station is a railway station in Ashkelon, Israel. It is the southern terminus of the Binyamina–Tel Aviv–Ashkelon suburban line. A station has existed at the site since before the 1948 Arab-Israeli War when it was in service on the now-defunct line to Egypt. In 1992 suburban service to the Ashdod Ad Halom Railway Station began. In 2002 it was decided to double-track the Ashdod–Ashkelon railway and extend the suburban service to Ashkelon.
Emunim
Emunim is a moshav in central Israel. Located near Ashdod, it falls under the jurisdiction of Be'er Tuvia Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 732 The moshav was founded in 1950 by immigrants from Egypt, on the land of the Palestinian village of Beit Daras. Like many of the other moshavim in the area, its name is symbolic and taken from the Tanakh, Psalm 31:23: "the Lord preserves the faithful".
Hof Ashkelon Regional Council
Hof Ashkelon Regional Council is a regional council in the Southern District of Israel. The council is bordered to the north by Be'er Tuvia Regional Council, to the east by the Be'er Tuvia, Lakhish, Shafir and Yoav Regional Councils, to the south by Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council and the Gaza Strip, and to the west by Ashkelon and the Mediterranean Sea.
Hodaya
Hodiya is a moshav in southern Israel. Located near Ashkelon, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hof Ashkelon Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 530. The moshav was founded in 1949 by immigrants from India. Today most of the residents are immigrants, or desecendents of immigrants from Iran and Yemen.
Battle of Nitzanim
The Battle of Nitzanim was a battle fought between the Israel Defense Forces and the Egyptian Army in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, on June 7, 1948 (29 Iyar, 5708 in the Hebrew calendar). It was the first major Egyptian victory of the war, and one of the few cases of Israeli surrender. The battle began on the night of June 6–7 with an artillery bombardment of Nitzanim, followed by an aerial bombardment and armored and infantry attacks.
Operation Pleshet
Operation Pleshet, named for the geographical region where it took place, was an Israeli military operation during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. It was carried out from May 29 to June 3, 1948, in the Isdud/Ad Halom area of the southern front, against the Egyptian Army. The aim of the operation was to capture Isdud and stop the Egyptian advance northwards.

HaKiriya Arena
The HaKiriya Arena is an indoor sporting arena located in Ashdod, Israel. The arena opened in 2000 and is home for the Maccabi Ashdod and Maccabi Bnot Ashdod basketball club's. Also serves the team of Hapoel Ashdod handball. The arena has 534 permanent seats and 666 seats in removable stands. For basketball games it has a capacity of 1,200, which is reduced to 534 for handball matches. There are plans to build a 5,000-capacity arena near the "Lakhish park", In the north of the city.
