Hasbani River
The Hasbani River, also known as Snir Stream within Israel, is a tributary of the Jordan river. The Hasbani River derives most of its discharge from two springs in Lebanon, the Wazzani and the Haqzbieh, the latter being a group of springs on the uppermost Hasbani. The Hasbani runs for 25 miles in Lebanon before crossing the border and joining with the Banias and Dan Rivers at a point in northern Israel, to form the River Jordan.
1997 Israeli helicopter disaster
The 1997 Israeli helicopter disaster occurred on 4 February 1997. 73 Israel Defense Forces soldiers were killed when two Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion Yas'ur 2000 helicopters, 357 and 903, collided over She'ar Yashuv in northern Israel. The helicopters were supposed to have crossed the border into Israel's "security zone" in Lebanon, but were hovering while waiting for official clearance to go.
Upper Galilee Regional Council
The Upper Galilee Regional Council is a regional council in Israel's Upper Galilee region. The area has a population of 15,500 and has been headed for 14 years by Aharon Valenci. Its headquarters are located in Kiryat Shmona, an independent city not included in the council's jurisdiction.
Omrit

After a brushfire cleared the area in 1998, excavations led by Macalester College have been taking place with assistance from nearby Kfar Szold.
She'ar Yashuv
She'ar Yashuv is a workers' moshav in the Upper Galilee in the northeastern Hula Valley in northern Israel. It belongs to the Mevo'ot HaHermon Regional Council. It was founded in 1940. As of 2008 it has 200 residents from 78 families. The residents mostly work as service workers for boarding houses. A few work in agriculture and livestock. The moshav came to public awareness after the 1997 Israeli helicopter disaster, when two IDF helicopters collided in midair above the settlement, killing 73.
Dan River (Middle East)
The Dan River is the largest tributary of the Jordan river. The sources of the river are multiple springs emerging from Tel Dan along underground fault lines. The river is so named after the Israelite city of Dan, which was captured by the Tribe of Dan during the Judges period. The tribe of Dan conquered the city, then named Laish and then occupied by Canaanites. Its flow provides up to 238 million cubic meters of water annually to the Hulah Valley.

Hurshat Tal is a national park and nature reserve in the North District of Israel. In 1968, 765 dunams were declared national park lands (visitor facilities occupying approximately 250 dunams) and 107 dunams were declared a nature reserve.
