Technion – Israel Institute of Technology
The Technion – Israel Institute of Technology is a public research university in Haifa, Israel. Founded in 1912, Technion is the oldest university in Israel. The university offers degrees in science and engineering, and related fields such as architecture, medicine, industrial management and education. It has 18 academic departments and 52 research centers.
Matza restaurant suicide bombing
The Matza restaurant suicide bombing occurred on March 31, 2002, when a Palestinian Hamas suicide bomber detonated his bomb inside the Matza restaurant in Haifa, Israel, near the Grand Canyon shopping mall, killing 16 Israeli civilians and injuring over 40 people.

Vardia

Lev HaMifratz Mall is a shopping mall located in Haifa, Israel. Lev HaMifratz has 3 floors of stores, a food court, an underground parking garage, and an above ground parking garage. In the past, it included an amusement park, a miniature golf course and an ice skating rink. Lev HaMifratz is also a transportation hub. Behind it is a train station, with trains to Nahariya and Tel Aviv. The entrance to the station is from the above ground parking garage.

Haifa Bay Central Bus Station (Merkazit HaMifratz in Hebrew) is the main bus station of the Haifa Bay (Mifratz Haifa) district. It opened in 2002. All bus routes from the north and the Galilee which formerly terminated at the Bat Galim bus station now terminate at HaMifratz station. The Mifratz Central Bus Station serves local Egged bus lines within the city of Haifa and all suburban and intercity Egged bus routes heading to the north and the Galilee.

Yeshivat Or Vishua
Yeshivat Or Vishua is a hesder yeshiva located in the Neve Sha'anan neighborhood of Haifa. Its head is Rabbi Eliyahu Zini, who is also the rabbi of the nearby Technion university. Its name means "Yeshiva of Light and Redemption". Its population includes many people who are or were associated with the Technion, as well as many French immigrants, and other people who live in Haifa and its suburbs.
Grand Canyon (mall)
The Grand Canyon is the largest shopping mall in Israel, located in the northern city of Haifa. It features around 200 stores, including of which approximately 80% are chain stores. Inside the mall there is also a 4000 m² spa, and a children's amusement park. The mall opens half an hour after sun down on Saturday out of respect for the Jewish Sabbath.
University of Haifa

Romema Arena
The Romema Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Haifa, Israel. The arena is home to Maccabi Haifa basketball club, a member of the Maccabi Haifa sports club. The arena was and is a home to various entertainment events, conventions, and major events in other sports. The arena is owned by the municipality of Haifa, and managed by Athos Ltd. - a company also fully owned by the municipality, which also manages Kiryat Eliezer Stadium.
Tell Abu Hawam
Tell Abu Hawam was a small city established in the Late Bronze Age (14th Century BCE) on the site of Modern-day Haifa, Israel. The sixth century BCE geographer Scylax described the city as being located "between the bay and the promontory of Zeus". It existed as a port city and a fishing village, and was moved to the site south of what is now the neighborhood of Bat Galim. The city eventually expanded into what is now the city of Haifa.
Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute
The Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) was established in January 2005 as a joint endeavour of the Russell Berrie Foundation, the government of Israel and the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. It is one of the largest academic programs in Israel and is among the largest nanotechnology centers in Europe and the US. Prof. Yeshayahu ("Ishi") Talmon of the Technion Faculty of Chemical Engineering is the Director of RBNI since 2010, when he took over from Prof. Uri Sivan.
Technion International School of Engineering
The Technion International School of Engineering (ISE) is an undergraduate program at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, taught entirely in English. The ISE began its first year in 2009, and now offers a full BSc. program in Civil Engineering as well as various study abroad options, all taught in English. The students arrive from all over the globe – Asia, Africa, North and South America, Europe and Israel.
