Maxim restaurant suicide bombing
The Maxim restaurant suicide bombing was a suicide bombing which occurred on October 4, 2003 in the beachfront "Maxim" restaurant in Haifa, Israel. 21 people were killed in the attack and 51 were injured. Among the victims were two families and four children, including a two-month-old baby.
Battle of Haifa (1948)
The Battle of Haifa, called by the Jewish forces Operation Bi'ur Hametz was a Haganah operation carried out on 21–22 April 1948. The objective of the operation was the capture of the Arab neighborhoods of Haifa and was a major event in the final stages of the civil war in Palestine, leading up to the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
Tel Shikmona
Tel Shikmona is an ancient tell (mound) situated near the sea coast on the southern entrance to the modern city of Haifa, Israel. Archaeological excavations that took place at this location in 1963, uncovered the remains of a city that existed there between the 11th - 14th BCE and was intermittently inhabited during the Byzantine period. The Israeli National Institute of Oceanography is situated at Shikmona. Shikmona was declared a 1677-dunam nature reserve in 2008.
Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art
The Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art is a museum on the crest of Mount Carmel, in Haifa, Israel, dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of Japanese art. It is the only such museum in the Middle East. It was established in 1959 on the initiative of Felix Tikotin of the Netherlands, and Abba Khoushy, then mayor of Haifa.
Israeli National Maritime Museum
The National Maritime Museum is a maritime and Archaeological museum in Haifa, Israel. The museum was founded in 1953, based on the private collection of its founder and first director, Aryeh Ben- Eli. In 1972, the museum moved to its current premises near the northern beachhead of Mount Carmel, between Stella Maris and Bat Galim neighborhoods. Nearby are the Israeli Clandestine Immigration and Naval Museum and the Cave of Elijah.

Arc (Bahá'í)
The Arc is a number of Bahá'í administrative buildings at the Bahá'í World Centre on Mount Carmel located at Haifa, Israel. They include the Seat of the Universal House of Justice, the Seat of the International Teaching Centre, the International Archives, and the Centre for the Study of the Sacred Texts. A fifth building, the International Bahá'í Library, has yet to be built.
Shrine of the Báb
The Shrine of the Báb is a structure in Haifa, Israel where the remains of the Báb, founder of Bábism and forerunner of Bahá'u'lláh in the Bahá'í Faith, have been buried; it is considered to be the second holiest place on Earth for Bahá'ís, after the Shrine of Bahá'u'lláh in Acre. Its precise location on Mount Carmel was designated by Bahá'u'lláh himself to his eldest son, `Abdu'l-Bahá, in 1891.
Terraces (Bahá'í)
The Terraces of the Bahá'í Faith, also known as the Hanging Gardens of Haifa, are garden terraces around the Shrine of the Báb on Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel. They are one of the most visited tourist attractions in Israel. The architect is Fariborz Sahba from Iran, the structural engineers are Karban and Co. from Haifa. Along with the Baha'i Holy Places in Western Galilee, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Haifa Bat Galim Central Bus Station was named after the neighborhood of Bat Galim. Until January 1, 2002, it served all Egged intercity bus routes originating and terminating in Haifa, as well as most local routes. The Bat Galim station was in use for about thirty years. On January 1, 2002, the new HaMifratz Central Bus Station opened.

It is expected to be replaced by a new Haifa Stadium at the southern entrance to the city by 2013.
Shrine of `Abdu'l-Bahá
The Shrine of `Abdu'l-Bahá is the location in Israel where the remains of `Abdu'l-Bahá, one of the the Bahá'í central figures, have been temporarily laid to rest. It is found in one of the rooms of the Shrine of the Báb; the Shrine of `Abdu'l-Bahá will be relocated to a new structure to be built in the future. There also exists a home in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where `Abdu'l-Bahá stayed during his visits to the West.

The station takes its name from the neighborhood of Bat Galim, where it is located. The station was Haifa's main train station from its construction in 1975 until the early 2000s.
Gordon College of Education
Gordon College of Education was established in Haifa in 1953 merging the Teacher’s Seminary of the Labor Movement with the Teacher’s Seminary of the well-known Hebrew Reali School of Haifa. Bahá'í World Centre
The Bahá'í World Centre is the name given to the spiritual and administrative centre of the Bahá'í Faith. The World Centre consists of the Shrine of Bahá'u'lláh near Acre, Israel, the Shrine of the Báb and its gardens on Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel, and various other buildings in the area including the Arc buildings. Much of the international governance and coordination of the Bahá'í Faith occurs at the Bahá'í World Centre.
Clandestine Immigration and Naval Museum
Clandestine Immigration and Naval Museum is an Israel navy museum located in Haifa. The museum covers the maritime history of Israel – from clandestine immigration during the British Mandate for Palestine through the history of the Israeli navy since its inception to the present. The museum is named after David HaCohen, one of the leaders of the Yeshuv. It was established by Colonel Yoske Coral and opened to the public in 1969. The museum is run by the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
