Lod Airport massacre
The Lod Airport massacre was an incident largely deemed to be a terrorist attack that occurred on May 30, 1972, in which three members of the Japanese Red Army recruited by the Palestinian group called the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), attacked Tel Aviv's Lod airport, which killed 26 people and injured 80 others. Whether or not the attackers were responsible for killing all of the victims has been disputed.
Lod Air Force Base
Lod Air Force Base, also Air Force Base 27, was an Israeli Air Force airfield that was part of the Ben Gurion International Airport, located approximately 7 km north of Lod; 8 km east-southeast of Tel Aviv. From 1940 to 1948 it was known as RAF Lydda while under British Royal Air Force control.

Hevel Modi'in Regional Council is a regional council in central Israel. It was founded in 1950 and covers an area from Petah Tikva to Modi'in. The council borders Drom HaSharon Regional Council, El'ad and Rosh HaAyin in the north Mateh Binyamin Regional Council in the east Gezer Regional Council and Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut in the south Drom HaSharon, Lod Valley Regional Council, Lod and Ramle in the west.
Bareket
Bareket is a moshav in central Israel. Located in the Shephelah around five kilometres north-east of Ben Gurion International Airport and covering 2,500 dunams, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Modi'in Regional Council. In 2007 it had a population of 1,300. The village was established in 1952 by members of Hapoel HaMizrachi who had immigrated from Haban in south-east Yemen.
Beit Arif
Beit Arif is a moshav in central Israel. Located near Shoham, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Modi'in Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 724. The moshav was founded in 1949 by immigrants from Bulgaria on the ruins of the abandoned Arab village of Dayr Tarif. It has originally named Ahlama, one of the 12 stones in the Hoshen, the sacred breastplate worn by a Jewish high priest (two other nearby settlements, Bareket, Shoham and Nofekh, are also named after such stones).

Mazor is a moshav in central Israel. Located in the Sharon plain around three kilometres south-east of Petah Tikva and covering 2,300 dunams, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Modi'in Regional Council. In 2007, it had a population of 1,100. The moshav was established in 1949 by immigrants from Czechoslovakia and Hungary and by native-born Israelis.
Wilhelma, Palestine
Wilhelma was a German Templer colony in Palestine located southwest of al-'Abbasiyyah near Jaffa. Wilhelma-Hamîdije was named in honour of King William II of Württemberg, Emperor Wilhelm II and Sultan Abdul Hamid II, however, only the first half of the name prevailed. Wilhelma was established by German settlers in 1902 in Palestine then under Ottoman rule. In July 1918, the German residents of Wilhelma were interred at Helouan, near Cairo in Egypt.
