Ross Castle

Ross Castle (Irish: Caisleán an Rois) is the ancestral home of the O'Donoghue clan though it is better known for its association with the Brownes of Killarney who owned it until recently. It is located on the edge of Lough Leane, in Killarney National Park, County Kerry, Ireland. Muckross Abbey

Muckross Abbey is one of the major ecclesiastical sites found in the Killarney National Park, County Kerry, Ireland. It was founded in 1448 as a Franciscan friary for the Observantine Franciscans by Donal McCarthy Mor. It has had a violent history and has been damaged and reconstructed many times. The friars were often subjected to raids by marauding groups and were persecuted by Cromwellian forces under Lord Ludlow.

St Mary's Cathedral, Killarney

St. Mary's Cathedral, Killarney is a Roman Catholic cathedral in County Kerry, Republic of Ireland. St. Mary's Cathedral (1842-1855) was designed by the renowned English Architect Augustus Welby Pugin and is considered to be one of the most important and best Gothic Revival churches of the nineteenth century in Ireland. Dr Crokes GAA

Killarney railway station

Killarney railway station is a station on the Mallow to Tralee line serving the town of Killarney in County Kerry. It is situated next to the bus station and Killarney Outlet Centre. Adjacent to the station on the approach road is the Great Southern Hotel (now renamed as the Malton Hotel) which was built for the railway in 1854 and was owned by CIE until 1984. The station has a moderately large stone building on the southside of the main platform, and a short overall roof.

The Diocese of Kerry is a Roman Catholic diocese in south-western Ireland. It is one of six suffragan dioceses in the ecclesiastical province of Cashel (also known as Munster) and is subject to the Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. The diocese is in the secular province of the same name - Munster. The incumbent Ordinary is William Murphy. The diocese was established in the early 12th century as the "Diocese of Ardfert and Aghadoe". It changed its name to the "Diocese of Kerry" on 20 December 1952.
