Eurovision Song Contest 1971
The Eurovision Song Contest 1971 was the sixteenth Eurovision Song Contest and the first held in Dublin, Ireland. The new voting system that was introduced in this Eurovision did have one big problem: some juries gave fewer points out than others. Whether this was done in some cases to increase their respective countries' chances of winning is impossible to say, but the shortcomings of the system were nevertheless plain. Monaco's win was their first and only victory.

Saint Stephen's Green
St Stephen's Green is a city centre public park in Dublin, Ireland. The current landscape of the park was designed by William Sheppard, which officially opened to the public on Tuesday, July 27, 1880. The park is adjacent to one of Dublin's main shopping streets, Grafton Street, and to a shopping centre named for it, while on its surrounding streets are the offices of a number of public bodies and the city terminus of one of Dublin's Luas tram lines.

Grafton Street is one of the two principal shopping streets in Dublin city centre, the other being Henry Street. It runs from Saint Stephen's Green in the south (at the highest point of the street) to College Green in the north (to the lowest point). In 2008, Grafton Street was the fifth most expensive main shopping street in the world, at €5,621/m²/year.

Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), (Irish: Coláiste Ríoga na Máinleá in Éirinn) is a Dublin-based medical institution, situated on St. Stephen's Green. The college is one of the five Recognised Colleges of the National University of Ireland. The college dates back to 1784 and at present incorporates schools of medicine, physiotherapy, pharmacy and nursing, providing both undergraduate and postgraduate levels of medical education.
Iveagh House
Iveagh House is the headquarters of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Dublin. It is also sometimes used colloquially as a metonym referring to the department itself. Iveagh House was originally two houses, nos 80 and 81 St Stephen's Green. No. 80 was designed by Richard Cassels in 1736 for Bishop Clayton. It was later the home of barrister and Master of the Rolls John Philpot Curran.
Dawson Street
Dawson Street is one of the main streets of central Dublin, running parallel to Grafton Street, to which it is connected by Duke Street and South Anne Street. Much of the street is a shopping thoroughfare, including the bookshop Hodges Figgis. The street was named after Joshua Dawson who laid out Dawson Street as well as the nearby Grafton, Anne, and Harry Streets, and who built the Mansion House in 1710. Molesworth Street links the street to Kildare Street.
Molesworth Street, Dublin
Molesworth Street (Irish: Sráid Theach Laighean) links the more notable Dawson Street with Kildare Street. Both houses of the Oireachtas are located in Leinster House, Kildare Street (adjacent to Molesworth Street). Molesworth Street is named after Richard Molesworth, 3rd Viscount Molesworth. and was originally known as "Molesworth Fields".
Provost's House, Trinity College, Dublin
The Provost's House is a five-bay, two-storey house with seven-bay single-storey wings on each side, which dates from the 1759 and was built for Provost Francis Andrews of Trinity College. The designer is unknown but may have been the Dublin architect John Smyth. It has a Palladian design with a central Venetian window and doric pilasters and is similar to that built by Lord Burlington for General Wade (now demolished) in London in the 1830s, who in turn copied a drawing by Andrea Palladio.
M.J.O'Neill's
M.J. O'Neill's is a notable bar and restaurant in central Dublin. It has occupied 2 Suffolk Street and adjacent buildings, continuing round the corner into Church Lane. It is claimed there has been a tavern on the site for some three hundred years. From 1875 it was owned by the Hogan Brothers, until M.J. O’Neill bought and renamed the premises in August 1927.

Thornton's is a restaurant situated since 2002 in the Fitzwilliam Hotel, St. Stephen's Green, County Dublin, Ireland. It was previously located on Portobello Road since 1989. A fine dining restaurant, it has been awarded two Michelin stars to date. Head chef Kevin Thornton was the first Irish chef to achieve two Michelin stars. Patrick Guilbaud received his second star first but was born in France.

The Commons Restaurant is a former restaurant that was located in the historic Newman House on St. Stephen's Green in Dublin, Ireland. It was owned by Michael Fitzgerald. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1994-1997. The Michelin star was again awarded in 2002, but lost in 2003 due to the chef leaving. The restaurant later reopened on a more modest level. Head chef of The Commons Restaurant during the last "Michelin period" was Aiden Byrne.

The Russell Hotel is a former hotel located in Dublin in County Dublin, Ireland. The hotel had a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 1974. In the first year of the publication of the Michelin Guide to Ireland and the United Kingdom The Russell Hotel's finally received her first star, after many years cooking and serving at high levels. Unfortunately that same year the final curtain fell on the hotel.
Fusiliers' Arch
Fusiliers' Arch is a monument which forms part of the Grafton Street entrance to St Stephen's Green park, in Dublin, Ireland. Erected in 1907, it was dedicated to the officers, non-commissioned officers and enlisted men of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers who fought and died in the Second Boer War (1899-1900).
