St. Nicholas' Collegiate Church
The Collegiate Church of St. Nicholas is the largest medieval parish church in Ireland in continuous use as a place of worship. It is located in Galway in the Republic of Ireland and was founded in 1320, dedicated (like many other European churches in seaports) to Saint Nicholas of Myra, the patron saint of seafarers. Galway Sportsground, also known as The Sportsground, is a multi-purpose stadium in Galway, Ireland. The Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St Nicholas, commonly known as Galway Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Galway, Ireland, and is one of the largest and most impressive buildings in the city. Construction began in 1958 on the site of the old city jail, and in 1965 was finally dedicated by Cardinal Richard Cushing to Our Lady Assumed into Heaven (Mary, mother of Jesus) and St Nicholas.

Galway (Ceannt) railway station (Ceannt Station / Stáisiún Cheannt) serves the city of Galway in County Galway. The station itself is located in the centre of the city in Eyre Square. It is the terminus station for the Dublin to Galway intercity service and the Limerick to Galway and Athenry to Galway commuter services.
Spanish Arch
The Spanish Arch (Irish: An Póirse Spáinneach) in Galway city, Ireland, was originally an extension of the city wall from Martin's Tower to the bank of the Corrib, as a measure to protect the city's quays, which were located in the area once known as the Fish Market (now Spanish Parade). It was constructed during the mayoralty of Wylliam Martin in 1584, being called ceann an bhalla (the head of the wall).

John F. Kennedy Memorial Park is an inner-city public park in Galway, Ireland, formerly officially named Eyre Square (Irish: An Fhaiche Mhór) and still widely known by that name. The park is within the city centre, adjoining the nearby shopping area of Williams Street and Shop Street. The park is rectangular, surrounded on three sides by streets that form the major traffic arteries into Galway city centre; the West side of the Square was pedestrianised in 2006.

The Galway City Museum (Irish: Músaem Cathrach na Gaillimhe) is a museum in Galway City, County Galway, Ireland. It was founded on 29 July 2006, and is located beside the Spanish Arch. The official website for the museum was launched on the 27th November 2008.
Shop Street
Shop Street is the main thoroughfare of the city of Galway in the west of Ireland. It is pedestrianised. As its name suggests, it is Galway's main shopping street, and contains old brick buildings, bright storefronts, numerous pubs and an array of street performers. Buskers are prevalent. Shop Street contains central Galway's best preserved ancient building, Lynch's Castle. This has since been converted into a branch of Allied Irish Banks. Dubray Books is a bookstore on Shop Street.

The Hotel Meyrick is the oldest hotel in the City of Galway, Ireland. Under various names (Railway Hotel, Great Southern Hotel and Hotel Meyrick) its history has been intertwined with that of Galway since 1852. It is situated on Eyre Square in the heart of the city.
