Evin Prison
Evin Prison is a prison in Iran, located in Evin, northwestern Tehran. It is noted for its political prisoners' wing, where prisoners have been held both before and after the 1979 Iranian Revolution. Due to the number of intellectuals that the prison housed, it was nicknamed "Evin University".

Mellat Park
Mellat Park is a park in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. Known as the Shahanshahi Park (Imperial Park) prior to the revolution of 1979, it is one of the largest recreation areas in Tehran. It is situated at the foot of the Alborz mountains adjacent to Valiasr Street in the east, and extends to the Chamran Expressway (Parkway) and Seoul Street to the west. Vanak
Vanak is a neighbourhood in the northern part of Tehran, capital of Iran and there is a square and a street named after it. The word Vanak means "Small (Oak) Tree" in Persian. The name derives from the original older village of Vanak (Deh-e Vanak) in the area, and today there is also a square called Vanak nearby. Vanak is one of the important junctures in Tehran and the midpoint for some of the city's highways such as the Jahan-Kudak (now Haghani), Chamran, Hemmat and Modarres.

Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) was one of the largest medical schools in Iran. The school was state operated, and its current reincarnation trains 7,000 students in the medical field. Its students rank among the very top 1% of Iran's students in the national ranking entrance exams for universities.
Tehran University of Medical Sciences
Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) is the largest, "most distinguished", and most highly ranked medical school of Iran. In September 2008, the health minister of Iran (Dr. Lankarani) called TUMS a pioneer in research throughout the country with a noticeable lead over its counterpart (peer) universities. Located in Tehran adjacent to the main University of Tehran campus, it was founded as part of Dar ol-Fonoon, and later absorbed into Tehran University in 1934.

The name's origin lies in the fact that it was the residence of many saffron traders long ago, thus the name Zafaraniyeh (the Persian version of Saffronia). The Islamic Azad University of Tehran, Languages branch is located at the beginning of Zafaraniyeh that teaches English, German, French, Spanish, and other foreign languages. The museum of Sa'dabad Palace is situated at the end of this street, which also contains a culture house.

Parsian Esteghlal Hotel
The Parsian Esteghlal Hotel is a hotel in Tehran, Iran. It was designed by Iranian architect Heydar Ghiai and opened in 1962 as the Royal Tehran Hilton with a single tower containing 259 rooms. An additional tower, with 291 more rooms, was constructed in 1972. A third tower is currently under construction. The hotel was renamed the Esteghlal Hotel (meaning "Independence" Hotel in Persian) following the Islamic Revolution in 1979, when all foreign hotel management contracts were severed.

The 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement was held from 26 to 31 August 2012 in Tehran, Iran. The summit was attended by leaders of 120 countries, including 24 presidents, 3 kings, 8 prime ministers and 50 foreign ministers. The summit's framework was the "Final Document" adopted during the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Coordinating Bureau which was held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt from 7 to 10 May.
