Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, or IRIB,, formerly called the National Iranian Radio and Television until the Islamic revolution of 1979, is a giant Iranian corporation in control of radio and television which is among the largest media organizations in Asia and Pacific region, and a regular member of Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union.
Sa'dabad Palace
The Saadabad Palace is a palace built by the Pahlavi dynasty of Iran in the Shemiran area of Tehran. The complex was first inhabited by Qajar monarchs and royal family in the 19th century. After an expansion of the compounds, Reza Shah lived there in the 1920s. And his son, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi moved there in the 1970s. After the Iranian Revolution, the complex became a museum. However, the current presidential palace is located adjacent to the Sa'd Abad compound.
Mellat Park
Mellat Park is a park in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. Known as the Shahanshahi Park (Imperial Park) prior to the revolution of 1979, it is one of the largest recreation areas in Tehran. It is situated at the foot of the Alborz mountains adjacent to Valiasr Street in the east, and extends to the Chamran Expressway (Parkway) and Seoul Street to the west. The park lies south of the Tehran International Fair grounds and the Enghelab Club.
Imamzadeh Saleh, Shemiran
Imāmzādeh Sāleh is one of many Imāmzadeh mosques in Iran. The mosque is located at Tajrish Square in Tehran's northern Shemiran district. The mosque entombs the remains of Sāleh, a son of the Twelver Shī‘ah Imām, Mūsā al-Kādhim, and is one of the most popular Shī‘ah shrines in northern Tehran.
Elahieh
Elahieh (also spelt Elahiyeh) is an affluent and upper-class district in northern Tehran. The area is a residential and commercial locale and is filled with the homes and businesses of many politicians, diplomats, expatriates, and artists. Prior to the 1979 Iranian Revolution, Elahiyeh was home to a large community of Persian Jews, senators, ministers during the time of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, and members of the royal circle, as well as famous scientists, artists, and writers.
Pasdaran (district)
Pasdaran is a neighborhood of northern Tehran centered around Pasdaran Avenue. This avenue connects Niavaran avenue (from the north) to Shariati avenue (in the south). It is about 8–9 km long and is a major commercial thoroughfare for northern Tehran together with northern parts of two other long streets: Valiasr Street and Shariati Street. Pasdaran in Persian means "guardians".
Farmanieh
Farmanieh (also spelled Farmaniye) is a district located in Shemiran, Tehran, Iran centered around Farmanieh Street. Farmanieh neighborhood extends south all the way to Sadr Expressway, where it becomes Dibaji, and as far north as Niavaran Expressway. It has one of, if not the highest household income rates in Tehran, being home to many embassies, nobles and notables of Iran.
Gheytarieh
Gheytarieh (also spelled Qeytarieh) is a district, in northeastern Tehran's city limits, within the larger Shemiran district. Gheytarieh has about 150,000 residents. Gheytarieh is famous for a large park with the same name. Gheytarieh Park was once the home of a Qajar Dynasty minister, Amir Kabir. Gheytarieh is known for its many restaurants, including fast food, found along Gheytarieh Street. Gheytariehs' neighbouring districts are: Kaveh, Hekmat, Chizar, Doulat, Dibaji, and Darrous.
Zafaraniyeh
Zafaraniyeh is a neighbourhood in the north of Tehran, Iran. The name's origin lies in the fact that it was the residence of many saffron traders long ago, thus the name Zafaraniyeh (the Persian version of Saffronia). The Islamic Azad University of Tehran, Languages branch is located at the beginning of Zafaraniyeh that teaches English, German, French, Spanish, and other foreign languages. The museum of Sa'dabad Palace is situated at the end of this street, which also contains a culture house.
Jamaran
Jamaran is a neighbourhood located north of the city of Tehran in Iran. Jamaran was once an independent village; it is now a part of the North Tehran region. It is best known for being the home of Ayatollah Khomeini during his lifetime. Khomeini's family and the Khomeini Foundation, with the approval of Iran's Supreme Leader, provided offices to Mohammed Khatami and the International Institute for Dialogue Among Cultures and Civilizations in one of Khomeini's Jamaran compounds.
Darrous
Darrous is a neighborhood in Shemiran, northern Tehran, Iran. It is considered one of the more affluent areas in the city, many modern and fashionable families reside there. Darrous is bounded by Pasdaran, Gholhak, Doulat, and Ekhtiyarieh. Haj Mehdi Gholi Khan Hedayat (Mokhber-ol Saltaneh), a renowned aristocrat of the late Qajar period, was the main land owner in this area prior to 1950s, which at that time consisted of expansive gardens and farms.
Zahir-od-dowleh cemetery
Zahir-od-dowleh Cemetery is located in Darband, close to Tajrish, Shemiran (now a neighbourhood inside Tehran's city limits) and many Iranian giants of art and culture are buried there.
Ekhtiarieh
Ekhtiarieh (Dibaji) is a district in northern Tehran, Iran. Often referred to as Ekhtiyarieh or South Dibaji, Dibaji is located mainly along Dibaji Street and refers to the areas surrounding the street south from Sadr Expressway but north of Pasdaran Avenue and Kolahdooz Avenue. Ekhtiarieh is suburban and consists mostly of modest, upper-middle-class homes and apartment buildings as well as some scattered shops.
Dehkhoda Dictionary Institute
The Dehkhoda Dictionary Institute (International Center for Persian Studies) is the main official international center for teaching the Persian language and literature in Iran. It was founded in 1945 and is now part of the University of Tehran. It is named after Mirza Ali Akbar Ghazvini, known as Dehkhoda, a Persian literary scholar, poet, and author.

Shatel is an Iranian Internet Service Provider and a "Large" Local Internet registry based in Tehran, Iran . Shatel is the first ADSL2+ service provider in the country, and the first gigabit wireless network operator based on registered microwave frequency. Mirdamad Boulevard
Mirdamad Boulevard is the center of Davoodiyeh district in the north of Tehran. The boulevard starts from Valiasr Street in its west and continues eastward passing Mother Square up to Shariati street. Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran is located in this boulevard. There are some other important buildings in this boulevard too, for example Eskan towers and Payetakht Computer Center.
Qoba Mosque
The Qoba Mosque (known also as Ghoba Mosque) is a Mosque in Tehran, with a view of the Alborz Mountains to the north. It is located on Ghoba (Qoba) Street between Negin Street and Khushak Street. The mosque was closed by the Shah in 1975 because of Mohammad Mofatteh's political teachings.

Parsian Esteghlal Hotel
The Parsian Esteghlal Hotel is a hotel in Tehran, Iran. It was designed by Iranian architect Heydar Ghiai and opened in 1962 as the Royal Tehran Hilton with a single tower containing 259 rooms. An additional tower, with 291 more rooms, was constructed in 1972. A third tower is currently under construction. The hotel was renamed the Esteghlal Hotel (meaning "Independence" Hotel in Persian) following the Islamic Revolution in 1979, when all foreign hotel management contracts were severed.
