Sentosa
Sentosa is a popular island resort in Singapore, visited by some five million people a year. Attractions include a 2 km long sheltered beach, Fort Siloso, two golf courses, two five-star hotels, and the Resorts World Sentosa, featuring the theme park Universal Studios Singapore.
Port of Singapore
The Port of Singapore refers to the collective facilities and terminals that conduct maritime trade handling functions in Singapore's harbours and which handle Singapore's shipping. Currently the world's second busiest port in terms of total shipping tonnage, it also tranships a fifth of the world's shipping containers, half of the world's annual supply of crude oil, and is the world's busiest transshipment port.
Pulau Brani
Pulau Brani is an island located off the southern coast of Singapore, near Keppel Harbour. The island is situated between the main island of Singapore and the resort island of Sentosa, and is linked to the mainland via Brani Terminal Avenue. The area of Pulau Brani is 1.22 km².
Kusu Island
Kusu Island is one of the Southern Islands in Singapore, located about 5.6 kilometres to the south of the main island of Singapore, off the Straits of Singapore. The name means "Tortoise Island" or "Turtle Island" in Chinese; the island is also known as Peak Island or Pulau Tembakul in Malay. The word kusu also means flatulence in Tamil, one of Singapore's national languages—however, this is not related in any way to the name of the island, and is a misconception.
Saint John's Island
Saint John's Island, previously known as Pulau Sakijang Bendera, is one of the Southern Islands in Singapore. It is located approximately 6.5 km to the south of the main island of Singapore, off the Straits of Singapore. Saint John's Island formerly housed a quarantine station for cholera cases detected among immigrants in the late 19th century, and starting from 1901, victims of beri-beri were also brought to the island.
Sisters' Islands
The Sisters' Islands are two of the Southern Islands in Singapore and are located to the south of the main island of Singapore, off the Straits of Singapore. Big Sister's Island, about 39,000 square metres in area and also known as Pulau Subar Laut in Malay, faces the open sea, while Little Sister's Island, about 17,000 m in area and also known as Pulau Subar Darat in Malay, faces the mainland. The two islands are separated by a narrow channel.
Singapore Strait
The Singapore Strait is a 105-kilometer long, 16-kilometer wide strait between the Strait of Malacca in the west and the South China Sea in the east. Singapore is on the north of the channel and the Riau Islands are on the south. The Indonesia-Singapore border lies along the length of the straits. It includes Keppel Harbour and many small islands. The strait provides the deepwater passage to the Port of Singapore, which makes it very busy.
Brani Naval Base
Brani Naval Base was a former naval facility of the Republic of Singapore Navy, since the relocation of its facilities to Changi Naval Base and Tuas Naval Base in 2000. The Singapore Police Force's Police Coast Guard Headquarters is now located at the old navy premises. Pulau Brani was selected to house the naval base in the early 1970s and work started on 17 August 1972, with Brigadier Sir Bruce White as the consultant. The entire project cost SGD 35 million and was completed in January 1974.

Police Coast Guard
The Police Coast Guard is the Marine Police division of the Singapore Police Force which also takes on roles of the coast guard typically handled by the military or as separate organisations in other countries. These include the enforcement of law and order in Singapore's territorial waters, and Search and Rescue operations in collaboration with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, and the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority.
Marina South Pier
Marina South Pier is a pier that is located in Marina South, Singapore. It is used as a terminal for tourists and day trippers who are boarding small boats and ferries heading for the Southern Islands. Regular ferries to Kusu Island and Saint John's Island operate secondly. Marina South Pier was specifically built to replace Clifford Pier when the Marina Barrage was built. It opened in April 2006. It is reachable by bus service 402 from the Marina Bay MRT Station.
Pulau Jong
Pulau Jong or Junk Island is a 6,000 m² conical island about 6 kilometres off the southern coast of Singapore. The small island lies north of Pulau Sebarok and the former Pulau Sakeng (now merged with Pulau Semakau). The island is uninhabited.
Resorts World Sentosa
Resorts World Sentosa is an integrated resort on the island of Sentosa, off the southern coast of Singapore. The key attractions include one of Singapore's two casinos, a Universal Studios theme park and Marine Life Park, which includes the world's largest oceanarium. The S$6.59 billion (US$4.93 billion) resort is developed by Genting Singapore, listed on the SGX. It is one of the world's most expensive casino properties, after Marina Bay Sands.
SDC Office Monorail Station
SDC Office Station (Sentosa Developing Centre Office Station), more popularly called "Ficus Station"(even the name was seen attached to the roof of the station), is the sixth station along the discontinued Sentosa Monorail in Singapore. This station is located near the Sentosa Development Office. After the monorail line closed in 2005, the station was left to the hands of nature and was forgotten for a while, before it was re-built and converted into a wine bar called Suburbia.
Central Beach Monorail Station
Central Beach Station, or popularly known as Palawan Beach Station, (at one point the name was seen on the station's roof), is the fifth station along the discontinued Sentosa Monorail in Singapore. It was located near Palawan beach. When the monorail ceased operations in 2005,the station was reused as Sentosa's Nature Walk which the monorail station was used as a gallery in the beginning of the walk.
Bulan Island
Bulan Island or Bulang is the island located 2.5 km Southwest of Batam Island, 100 km. , in Sijori Growth Triangle, Riau Islands Province, Indonesia, the largest island adjacent to Batam on its western side. The strait between them is shallow and land reclamation and island amalgamation is feasible.
Pulau Tekukor
Pulau Tekukor (Turtle Dove) is one of the Southern Islands of Singapore. The island was also known as Pulau Penyabong. It is also the site of a former ammunition dump. There have been proposals to turn the island into a residential area, resort or eco-park (Monkey Island).
Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore
The Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (also known as the International Cruise Terminal and abbreviated as "MBCCS") is a new cruise terminal in Singapore which is located at Marina South next to the Marina South Pier. The S$500 million terminal began constructing in October 2009 and completed on May 22, 2012. It received its first ship, the "Voyager of the Seas", on 26 May 2012. The official opening ceremony of MBCCS was on October 22, 2012.
Battlestar Galactica (roller coaster)
Battlestar Galactica: Human vs. Cylon is a pair of steel, dueling roller coasters at Universal Studios Singapore. One half of the ride features an inverted roller coaster track in blue, and the other half features the traditional seated roller coaster track design in red. It is the tallest dueling coaster in the world; tipping at 42.5 metres . The roller coaster trains are launched from their stations at high speed instead of the traditional chain lift.
Marina South Pier MRT Station
Marina South Pier MRT Station (NS28) is the future southern terminal station of the North South Line in Singapore. This station is located on reclaimed land and is built as part of the North South Line Extension (NSLe) when it is scheduled to open in 2014. The station is located near the Marina South Pier and the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore. An extension to Marina Barrage was previously planned but plans for that were shelved.
Canopy Flyer
Canopy Flyer is a roller coaster attraction located at Universal Studios Singapore. It is a family-friendly outdoor attraction. The ride travels above most of the Lost World themed area, but also gives riders a bird's-eye view of the park.
Treasure Hunters (Universal Studios Singapore)
Treasure Hunters is a vintage car attraction in Ancient Egypt area of Universal Studios Singapore. The attraction opened on March 18, 2010 with the rest of the park. The attraction is ideal for guests of all ages. Children under 122 cm in height must be accompanied by a supervising companion. The ride takes guests on a slow tour of an abandoned excavation site. Animatronic animals within the attraction include some hippos, some vultures, many cobras, a cheetah, and some Nile crocodiles.

Qantas Flight 32
Qantas Flight 32 was a Qantas passenger flight that suffered an uncontained engine failure on 4 November 2010 and made an emergency landing at Singapore Changi Airport. The failure was the first of its kind for the four-engined Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger aircraft. On inspection, it was found that the aircraft's No.2 engine (on the port side nearest the fuselage), a Rolls-Royce Trent 900, had a missing turbine disc.
