Faizabad
City of Faizabad, the old capital of Awadh, is the headquarters of Faizabad District and Faizabad division as well. Its a joint municipal board with Ayodhya in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, situated on the banks of river Ghaghra (locally known as Saryu). It was the first capital of the Nawabs of Awadh and has monuments built by the Nawabs of Avadh, like the Tomb of Bahu Begum, Gulab Bari etc. The Legend of Avadh, Umrao Jaan 'Ada', was born in Faizabad (her childhood name was Ameeran).

Faizabad Airport is a Flying school and Domestic airport situated in Faizabad city between the NH 28 and NH 96 at Sultanpur Naaka in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Meant to serve Faizabad and adjacent city of Ayodhya.

Faizabad Sports Complex is an international standard sports complex being built along NH96 a few hundred meters away from Faizabad Airport. The new sports complex would have astro turf, synthetic track, olympic size swimming pool, cricket field, hostels and other required facilities. Bahu Begum ka Maqbara
Bahu Begum ka Maqbara is the Tomb of Queen Bride Begum Unmatuzzohra Bano alias Bahu Begum a memorial built for queen of Nawab Shuja-ud-Daula. Its one of the tallest buildings in Faizabad and is a beautiful example of non-mughal Muslim architecture. The Mausoleum of Bahu Begum created by Nawab Suja-ud-Daula in the memory of his loving wife is famous for the creative architectural brilliance with which it was designed and constructed.
Gulab Bari
Gulab Bari Literally meaning 'Garden of Roses', the Tomb of Nawab Shuja-ud-Daula, this place has a good collection of roses of various varieties set by the sides of water fountains. Gulab Bari is the maqbara (Mausoleum) of Nawab Shuja-ud-Daula, the third Nawab of Oudh in the campus.

Faizabad Railway Station known as Faizabad Junction is an important railway station in Northern India and is well connected with Delhi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Allahabad. Faizabad Junction is one of the two railway junctions in Faizabad city the another one is Ayodhya Junction which is situated in the adjacent city of Ayodhya at the south end of Faizabad city on the bank of Ghaghra river (locally known as Saryu river).
