Mubarakpur

Mubarakpur is a city and a municipal board in Azamgarh district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is located at a distance of 13 km north-east of the district headquarters in Azamgarh. The place is famous for the manufacture of Benarasi saris, which are also very popular and exported to the World. It was settled, in the name of Raja Mubarak, a Sufi of Manikpur Karaa, by a sheikh landholder.
