Mir Alam Tank
Mir Alam Tank is a lake in Hyderabad, India, located adjacent to Nehru Zoological Park on the Hyderabad-Bangalore Highway. It has provided drinking water to Hyderabad people for 125 years before the Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar were built. Mir Alam laid the foundation for the tank on July 20, 1804, as a plaque still lying in a corner shows. It was completed in about two years on June 8, 1806.
Errum Manzil
Errum Manzil or now known as Erra Manzil or Persian for Mansion in Paradise is an expansive palace built on a hillock by a nobleman, Nawab Safdar Jung Musheer-ud-daula Fakhrul Mulk of Hyderabad in 1870. It is located off the Khairatabad - Panjagutta road. Built in the Indo-European Baroque style of architecture, during its heyday the palace had over 150 rooms furnished with Louis XVI furniture, nine hole golf course, polo ground, stable for horses and a dairy farm.
Nizamia observatory
Nizamia observatory is a Space observatory, which was established in 1907 during the reign of the Nizams of Hyderabad state. Its founder was an England-educated rich noble man Nawab Zafar Yar Jung Bahadur, the youngest son of Sir Khursheed Jah Bahadur, who was the minister for defence in the Nizam's government. Taken over by the government in 1907, the observatory for years worked on an ambitious programme of photographing and charting a large segment of the sky.
