Kodaikanal International School
Kodaikanal International School (KIS), also known Kodai School, is a co-educational independent residential school offering education for grades P-12. It is located on 43 acres in Kodaikanal, Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, South India. Kodaikanal is a hill station at 2,133 m in the Palani Hills, 121 kilometres north-west of Madurai. Kodaikanal Solar Observatory
The Kodaikanal Solar Observatory is a solar observatory owned and operated by Indian Institute of Astrophysics. It is located on the southern tip of the Palni Hills 4 km from Kodaikanal town, Dindigul district, Tamilnadu state, South India. The Evershed effect was first detected at this observatory in January 1909. Solar data collected by the lab is the oldest continuous series of its kind in India.
