Kotagiri
Kotagiri is a panchayat town in The Nilgiris District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. In May 1893, the small, quiet Kotagiri became base for a Christian Bishop's son R.T.H. Griffith, as he set about translating the sacred Ved into English. Ralph Thomas Hotchkin Griffith (1826-1906) was elected to the vacant Sanskrit Scholarship on Nov 24, 1849. He also produced translations of other Sanskrit literature, including a verse version of the Ramayana and the Kumara Sambhava of Kalidasa.
Coonoor
Coonoor is a Taluk and a municipality in the Nilgiris district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is known for its production of Nilgiri tea. Coonoor is located at an altitude of 1,850 m above sea level, and is the second largest hill station in the Nilgiri hills after Ooty. It is an ideal base for a number of trekking expeditions leading into the Nilgiris. The Nearest airport is Coimbatore International Airport about 56 km from Coonoor town.

Catherine Falls is a double-cascaded waterfall located in Kotagiri, The Nilgiris District, Tamil nadu and It is also a major tourist spot in Kotagiri. It is on the Mettupalayam road branching off at Aravenu. The upper fall drops to the floor, and is the second highest in the Nilgiri mountains. The waters from the upper stream of the Kallar river are crossed by the invisible Mettupalyam-Ooty road beyond the mountains in the south-west. The height of water falls is about 250 ft.

The school was established by Jerry and Heather Lacson in Kotagiri in 1973. Initially called Kotagiri Community School (KCS), the school was later renamed to International Community School (ICS). Currently, the school's name is International Community School and Junior College (ICSJC).
Droog Fort, Coonoor
Droog Fort (also called Bakasura Malai) is a historic fort located 15 kilometres from Coonoor, The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. The fort was used as an outpost by Tipu Sultan in the 16th century. Today, the fort is in ruins, with only one wall remaining. The site attracts tourists, who reach the fort by hiking through the Nonsuch Tea Estate.
