Kodaikanal International School
Kodaikanal International School (KIS), also known Kodai School, is a co-educational independent residential school offering education for grades P-12. It is located on 43 acres in Kodaikanal, Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, South India. Kodaikanal is a hill station at 2,133 m in the Palani Hills, 121 kilometres north-west of Madurai. Early alumni of KIS include US Ambassador to India Robert F. Goheen (1936) and US Congressman Chris Van Hollen (1977).

The Palani Hills are an eastward extension of the Western Ghats ranges, which run parallel to the west coast of India. Kodaikanal Solar Observatory
The Kodaikanal Solar Observatory is a solar observatory owned and operated by Indian Institute of Astrophysics. It is located on the southern tip of the Palni Hills 4 km from Kodaikanal town, Dindigul district, Tamilnadu state, South India. The Evershed effect was first detected at this observatory in January 1909. Solar data collected by the lab is the oldest continuous series of its kind in India.
Palani Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park
The Palani Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park is a proposed Protected area in Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu State South India. The Park will be an upgrade and expansion of the 736.87 km² Palani (Kodaikanal) Wildlife Sanctuary which was to be established in 2008. The park includes about 36% of the 2,068 square kilometres in the Palani Hills. The park is located between Latitude 10°7' - 10°28' N and Longitude 77°16' - 77°46' E.
Kodaikanal Lake
Kodaikanal Lake, also known as Kodai Lake is a manmade lake located in the Kodaikanal city in Dindigul district in Tamil Nadu, India. Sir Vere Henry Levinge, the then Collector of Madurai, was instrumental in creating the lake in 1863, amidst the Kodaikanal town which was developed by the British and early missionaries from USA. The lake is said to be Kodaikanal's most popular geographic landmark and tourist attraction.

Kodaikanal Golf Club is a private membership club with a 18 hole, par 71 Golf course. It is located about 6 kilometres southwest from the center of Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu, South India at an elevation of 2,220 metres . The club is on Golf links Road near the popular view point 'Suicide Point' (Green Valley View) and 3 kilometres before the 'Pillar Rocks' viewpoint and flower garden. This club is notable for its age and the wildlife frequently seen on the course.

Kodaikanal Christian College (KCC) is a private, self-financing, autonomous college in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, India. Founded on October 12, 1994, KCC is the first arts and science college to be established at Kodaikanal by the House of Abrahams Charitable Trust under the leadership of Dr. Samuel Abraham. KCC has been given the University Grants Commission (UGC) recognition status under section 12(b) 2(f) and recognized as a Christian Minority Institution by the Government of India.
