Anantnag district
Anantnag is a district in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of eight districts which make up the Kashmir Valley. The district headquarter is Anantnag city. As of 2011, it was the third most populous district of Jammu and Kashmir, after Jammu and Srinagar.

Martand Sun Temple
Martand Sun Temple was dedicated to Surya (Sun) god and is now in ruins. The ruins of the temple are located near Anantnag in Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Martand is another Sanskrit name for Hindu Sun-god. The Martand temple is one of the important archaeological sites of the country. It was built around 500 AD. This temple has the typical Aryan structure as was present in Aryan Kashmir.
Lidder Valley
The Lidder Valley or Liddar Valley in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India, is a Himalayan sub-valley that forms the northeastern corner of the Vale of Kashmir. The Lidder River flows down the valley. The entrance to the valley lies seven km northeast from Anantnag town and 62 km southeast from Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a 40-km-long gorge valley with an average width of 3 km.
