Government Engineering College, Thrissur
The Government Engineering College Thrissur (GECT or Thrissur Engineering College) is a technical education institute in Kerala, India. It is the second oldest engineering college established in Kerala and the first engineering college to be established after the formation of Kerala State. The college is affiliated to the calicut university. In 2009, Mint (newspaper) rated GECT among the top 50 government engineering colleges in India.
Kerala Veterinary College, Mannuthy
College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (COVAS) is located on the NH 47 at Mannuthy, a suburb of Thrissur. The college came into existence in 1955 as Government Veterinary College. The college was inaugurated by then Chief Minister Sri E M S Namboothiripad. Initially, the college was affiliated to Kerala University and subsequently to Calicut University in 1966. It was later renamed as the Kerala Veterinary College and Research Institute for a short period.
Shakthan Thampuran Palace
Shakthan Thampuran Palace is situated in City of Thrissur in Kerala state, India.
