Ottapalam
Ottapalam is a town in Palakkad district of Kerala state in India. It is also the headquarters of the taluk of the same name. Situated on the banks of the Bharathappuzha river (also called the Nila or Perar), it has a rich cultural heritage and has played host to many historic events. It is famous for having several films shot here. Even though a part of Palakkad district, it has a very different culture as compared to Palakkad, situated 35 km east to Ottapalam.

Thiruvilwamala (also spelled Thiruvilluamala) is a hilly village in the northern terrain of Thrissur district of Kerala state in southern India. It is located 47 kilometres towards north-east of the District Head Quarters Thrissur. The village, which is more of a temple town, is located on the banks of the Bharathappuzha river, with nearest towns being Shoranur and Ottapalam. The place is famous for the Vilwadrinatha Temple, which is among the rare Sri Rama temples in Kerala.
