University of Kerala
The University of Kerala (UoK), formerly the University of Travancore, is an affiliating university located in Trivandrum in the state of Kerala, India. It was established in 1937, long before the birth of the state of Kerala in India, by a promulgation of the Maharaja of Travancore, Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma who was also the first Chancellor of the university. Sir C P Ramaswamy Ayyar, the then Diwan of the State, was the first Vice-Chancellor.

St. Joseph's Cathedral, Trivandrum
St. Joseph's Metropolitan Cathedral, also known as Palayam Palli is the Roman Catholic cathedral of the Archdiocese of Trivandrum. The first church was built here in 1873. The church was entended in the manner of a cross in 1912. The final stage of extension, including the Gothic style facade and the bell-tower was completed in 1927.
