Tellicherry Fort
Tellicherry Fort is in Thalassery (Tellicherry) a town in Kannur District of Kerala state in south India. The British East India Company built the fort in 1708 to establish a stronghold on the Malabar Coast. In 1781 Hyder Ali, ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore, was unsuccessful in capturing the Fort in his campaign to control Malabar. His successor, Tipu Sultan, was forced to cede Malabar District to the British in 1792, at the conclusion of the Third Anglo-Maratha War.
Overbury's Folly
Overbury's Folly is a finished construction, or architectural folly, that now serves as a recreational park located in Thalassery, south India. The folly is located on a hill near Thalassery District Court and is adjacent to a park. It slopes down from the sub-collector's bungalow to the rocks below and is named after its builder, E. N. Overbury, a Briton who served as a local judge at Thalassery in the 1870s. In 1879, Overbury wanted to construct a picnic spot at the cliff.
Thalassery Pier
Thalassery Pier locally known as Kadalpalam is located in Thalassery, Kannur District of Kerala state, south India. It is an old pier extending out into the Arabian Sea. It is frequented by people taking evening walks. This "Kadalpalam" was used as a commercial access through the sea, to and from the Tellicherry Bazar, during the European rule. It is an old story now. At present it is in a deteriorating state. Now it can be preserved as a Tourist Centre.
Thalassery Stadium
Thalassery Stadium is located near the Thalassery Civil Station, Kerala state, South India. Cricket was played in Thalassery much before it was introduced in Calcutta in 1860. Thalassery Stadium, also known as the Thalassery Municipal Cricket Ground, hosts the Ranji Trophy cricket matches every year. On this ground, the first ball was bowled in the early 19th century, thanks to Colonel Arthur Wellesley, who brought the game to this Malabar town.

Mahe district
Mahe district, one of the four districts of the Union Territory of Puducherry in India, has an area of 9 km. It consists of the whole of the Mahé region. The total area of Mahe District is surrounded by North Malabar of Kerala State. Three sides by Kannur District and one side by Kozhikode District. In fact, geographically Mahe District is part of North Malabar. It is the sixth least populous district in the country.
St Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Thalassery
St Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Thalassery is an educational institution in Thalassery, Kerala. It was started as an Anglo Indian school in the 16th century, run under the management of Latin Diocese of Kannur. It is located in the heart of Thalassery town, by the side of the Tellicherry Fort. The architecture of the school gives a view of the Arabian sea, even from the classrooms.
