Hungarian Grand Prix
The first Hungarian Grand Prix was held on June 21, 1936 over a 3.1-mile track laid out in Népliget, a park in Budapest. The Mercedes-Benz, Auto Union, and Ferrari teams all sent three cars and the event drew a very large crowd. However, politics and the ensuing war meant the end of Grand Prix motor racing in the country for fifty years. A major coup by Bernie Ecclestone, the 1986 Hungarian Grand Prix was the first Formula One race to take place behind the Iron Curtain.
Hungaroring
The Hungaroring is a motor-racing circuit in Mogyoród, near Budapest, Hungary where the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix is held. In 1986, it became the location of the first Formula One Grand Prix behind the Iron Curtain. Bernie Ecclestone wanted a race in the USSR, but a Hungarian friend of his recommended Budapest.
Újpalota
Újpalota is the second largest microdistrict in Budapest, Hungary. It belongs to the District XV. In 1968 a new residential area was created on the northeastern border of Budapest, in a field, near the Szilas-patak (Szilas Brook) that was named Újpalota (lit. "Newcastle"). The new housing estate was built from 1968 to 1977.

The 2007 Hungarian Grand Prix was the eleventh race of the 2007 Formula One season, held between 3 to 5 August at the Hungaroring racing track in Budapest. It was also memorable for an incident in the Saturday qualifying session, between Lewis Hamilton and teammate Fernando Alonso.

The 2008 Hungarian Grand Prix (formally the Formula 1 ING Magyar Nagydíj 2008) was a Formula One motor race held on August 3, 2008, at the Hungaroring in Mogyoród, near Budapest, Hungary. It was the 11th race of the 2008 Formula One season. Contested over 70 laps, the race was won by Heikki Kovalainen for the McLaren team, from a second position start. Timo Glock finished second in a Toyota car, with Kimi Räikkönen third in a Ferrari.

Csömör is a village in Hungary, in Pest county, Budapest metropolitan area in the Gödöllő subregion (kistérség). It is west of Kistarcsa, north of the 16th district of Budapest, on the western part of the Gödöllő hills, in the turning of the Csömör stream. It has a population of 8,433 (2007).

Pólus Palace Golf Club is a golf course in Hungary. It was built by Péter Pólus, a Hungarian entrepreneur. It is privately owned. The course is situated on a 178 acres, protected nature reserve, with a driving range with 16 sheltered stands and both pitching and putting greens, Polus Palace calls itself a "golf hotel". It hosted the Polus Palace Masters Cup golf tournament, sponsored by Chevrolet in 2005. The course also supports practising.

The 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix (formally the XXV ING Magyar Nagydíj) was a Formula One motor race held on July 26, 2009 at the Hungaroring in Mogyoród, 18 km north of Budapest, Hungary. It was the tenth race of the 2009 Formula One season. The race, contested over 70 laps, was won by 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton for McLaren-Mercedes, after starting from fourth place on the grid.
