Burgenland
Burgenland is the easternmost and least populous state (or Land) of Austria. It consists of two Statutarstädte (chartered towns) and seven districts, with in total 171 municipalities. It is 166 km long from north to south but much narrower from west to east (5 km wide at Sieggraben). The region is part of the Centrope Project.

Fertőrákos
Fertőrákos is a village in the county of Győr-Moson-Sopron in Hungary. In 2001 it had a population of 2,182. In summer, a border checkpoint for pedestrians and cyclists connects it to the Austrian municipality of Mörbisch am See. The Fertorakos mithraeum is visible near the border.

Pan-European Picnic
The Pan-European Picnic was a peace demonstration held on the Austrian-Hungarian border near the town of Sopron on 19 August 1989, an important event during the Revolutions of 1989 that led to the fall of the Iron Curtain and the reunification of Germany. It was organised by the Paneuropean Union and the Hungarian opposition Hungarian Democratic Forum under the protection of Otto von Habsburg and Imre Pozsgay.

MKB Aréna Sopron
MKB Aréna Sopron in a multi-purpose indoor arena in Sopron, Hungary. Its best known tenant is the women's basketball club UNIQA Euroleasing Sopron, one of the top teams of the Hungarian championship, which also regularly plays in the EuroLeague Women, having reached the Final Four in 2009. Beside basketball it also hosts other indoor sports as well as cultural events, exhibitions, shows and musicals. In addition, in the building is found a hotel, a restaurant and a fitness center.
