Mureș River
The Mureș is an approximately 761 km (473 mi) long river in Eastern Europe. It originates in the Hășmașu Mare Range in the Eastern Carpathian Mountains, Romania, and joins the Tisza river at Szeged in southeastern Hungary. The Mureș River flows through the Romanian counties Harghita, Mureș, Alba, Hunedoara and Arad, and the Hungarian county Csongrád. The largest cities on the Mureș/Maros are Târgu Mureș, Alba Iulia, Deva and Arad in Romania and Szeged in Hungary.

Kübekháza
Kübekháza is a settlement (village) in Csongrád county, in Hungary, with 1603 inhabitants and an area of 27.31 km², directly near the Romanian-Serbian-Hungarian triple border point. There is a triple-border memorial at this point. 20% Germans used to live here. People of Kübekháza living here produced lots of tobacco. After the Second World War many of them were deported to Germany.

Szőreg
Szőreg is a settlement which forms a part of Szeged in Csongrád County,, Hungary. There are some(7-8 persons) Serbs living there besides Hungarians. Szőreg has two churches: a Roman Catholic (Hungarian) and a Serbian Orthodox church. The village has a long history. One of the final battles of the war of independence against the Habsburg Empire (1848–49) took place close to Szőreg. The village became adjoined to Szeged in 1973. The settlement is otherwise renowned for its rose-production.

Lake Fehér (Szeged)
Lake Fehér is a lake of Hungary. It is named Fehér (White), because it is white. It is a part of Kiskunság National Park, and it is situated just north of the town of Szeged. It covers an area of 14 square kilometres. Lake Fehér is Hungary's largest saltwater lake. It is carefully protected because it is home to 280 species of bird and because of its ancient flora. The area is an important stop in the migration of European birds, and serves as a resting and feeding place for them.

János Bolyai Mathematical Institute is the institute of mathematical departments at the faculty of sciences of the University of Szeged, named after the Hungarian mathematician, co-discoverer of non-euclidean geometry, János Bolyai. Its director is László Kérchy. Among the former members of the institute are Frigyes Riesz, Alfréd Haar, Rudolf Ortvay, Tibor Radó, Béla Szőkefalvi-Nagy, László Kalmár, Géza Fodor.
Deák Ferenc Bilingual High School
The Deák Ferenc Bilingual High School (in Hungarian Deák Ferenc Gimnázium) is a public, co-educational secondary school in Szeged, Hungary established in 1988 which makes it the youngest secondary educational institution in the city of Szeged; it is named after Ferenc Deák, a famous Hungarian 19th century politician who is also known as the „Sage of the Nation”.
